About Francesca Coffee Bar
Francesca Coffee Bar is an Italian-style coffee shop in Newcastle Upon Tyne, at 5 Cavendish Rd. The counter pairs coffee, including cappuccino, and hot chocolate with Italian desserts, cakes and pastries. Pizza slices, among them a margarita slice, give the bar a savoury side. Breakfast runs from a large menu that includes a full English. Cocktails and wine sit alongside the coffee, and the bar stays open until late, which makes it an option for a late-night drink as well as a morning stop. Orders are brought to the table by the staff. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the pizza slices, with one describing a large margarita slice that filled them up as a brunch snack and another calling the pizza good looking. Close behind are the Italian desserts, cakes and pastries, along with a full English breakfast with loads of items on the menu. The coffee draws praise too, including a cappuccino described as unique compared with other cafes, and a hot chocolate called really tasty. Several mention reasonable prices and good value, and one says it is convenient for coffee, a cocktail or wine. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, lovely and attentive, and one notes table service and being asked about sauces or sugar. A long-time local describes a warm family Italian feeling that has not changed in 25 years. No recurring complaints appear. One reviewer says the late opening hours suit a daytime treat, and another notes seating both inside and outside for summer weather.

“A lovely cafe and eatery with a specialty for exquisit pizza slices. I've been here twice and both times have been great. Very reasonably priced coffee, I ordered a large cappochino for £3.75 and it tasted amazing and unique compared to most other cappochinos I've had at other cafes. A margarita pizza slice was under £4 and it was large, tasted amazing, and filled me up as a brunch snack. A range of seating both inside and outside for summer weather. The staff had amazing customer service, and were attentive asking if I would like any sauces or sugar for my coffee. Table service and the place had a range of pastrys. A very good cafe in the heart of West Jesmond.”
