About Truffles Cafe
Truffles Cafe is a daytime cafe in Newcastle Upon Tyne, at 47 Station Rd, open Monday to Saturday and closed Sundays. The food changes daily, and the corned beef pie comes with chunky chips and peas. Breakfast covers a full English and rolls filled with bacon and eggs, while sausage sandwiches fill the sandwich side of the menu. Coffee and tea are served throughout. The kitchen will prepare items that are not on the menu to suit what a customer wants. Catering is available for parties and events, and nut-free requirements can be accommodated.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the full English and fry-up, with the plates described as large and the eggs and thick-cut bacon on a soft bun singled out as done to perfection. Close behind are the corned beef pie with chunky chips and peas, a sausage sandwich called fresh and tasty, and pies that catering guests called gorgeous. Coffee, including black coffee and a cappuccino, earns repeat praise, and one reviewer liked the tea. Prices are repeatedly called reasonable, and several describe friendly, helpful staff who will prepare something not on the menu. One reviewer on a fifth lunch visit thanked the ladies working there, and another describes a catering order that handled a nut-free request, with food presented and labelled and very little left over. No recurring complaints appear. One reviewer says staff gave their nephew a little pack of sweets as they left.

“From sandwiches to their English breakfast, everything you order is delicious and the plates are large. Their coffee is also very tasty especially for people who drink black coffee! The service is always great too, love this little gem!”

“Places like this don't get enough recognition. They feed and fill ordinary people every day of the week and on a Saturday. Wholesome portions and great flavours, whether you are having a breakfast roll or a fresh salad. Simple, clean and convenient dining. Perfectly cooked eggs that ooze yellow gold combined with thicker cut bacon on a soft pillowy bun are done to perfection. Can't go wrong with a stop at Truffles!! 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋 😋”

“I’ve sat in at truffles before and the food was really nice. I’ve rang and collected food a couple of times. The food is always really nice and the prices are very reasonable. This is my favourite cafe in south gosforth.”
