Baker and Cook is hard to classify, but easy to describe: It provides a great experience. “Artisan café bar” certainly covers the culinary expertise shown in the cakes and breads that are on offer, but it undersells the equally impressive skills that are on display in its lunch menus. Baker and Cook’s lunch menus consistently feature innovative dishes, perfectly executed and creatively presented. Seasonality is the key – and that was never better demonstrated than in this weeks menu when temperatures hit the mid 30’s: Enter a distinctly Mediterranean themed menu with light, refreshing dishes that confounded any thoughts that it was just too hot to sit in a restaurant and eat a two or three course meal. “We really had the most amazing Sunday lunch at Baker & Cook today. The food was absolutely incredible - perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The roast was one of the best we’ve had in a very long time! What really made the experience special though was the service. The staff were so warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel completely relaxed and looked after ❤️ We’ll definitely be coming back again very soon - highly recommended!”
