About Andy's Fish Bar
Andy's Fish Bar is a fish and chips takeaway in Telford, at 87 Park St. Fish and chips are the main order, and sausage sits on the menu alongside them. Curry sauce is ordered on top of the fish, the chips or a kebab. The shop adds the salt and vinegar itself. Because it works as a takeaway, orders leave with the customer. Hours run Monday to Saturday, daytime only, and the shop is closed on Sundays.

Customer Review Summary
Fish is the main draw, with one diner calling it the best in a while for its lovely batter, while others praise scampi that was crispy without being greasy and fish cakes that arrived hot and fresh. Several describe friendly, polite staff, big portions and plenty of choice, including for a vegetarian, and one notes a queue out the door. Other reviewers describe a rude owner, miserable or angry looking staff, and food that seemed warmed up rather than fresh. Soggy chips come up more than once, alongside a rubbery sausage, a fish likened to a fish finger, very runny curry sauce and fish cakes saturated in salt and vinegar. One reviewer objects that a fish and sauce deal is not offered without sausage and argues this discriminates against pescatarians. A few call it overpriced, one saying the food just tastes like oil. One reviewer says kebab and fish orders repeatedly arrive with chips or salad missing, and another paid for a savloy only to be told there were none.

“Damn right Rude owner, when asked why they can't do the fish and chips with sauce meal without the sausage .. that's the deal, we can't do every deal, (in a rude tone) yes ya can. You do fish and chips and to add sauce it's 1.90 somit comes to £9.40. but you can do the same food on a deal with sausage for 80p less ? Makes sense much. I got my food from hills lane chippy (see below ) because they appreciate not everyone actually wants sausage with their fish so why should they pay for it . And turns out if you own the joint then yeah you can make what ever deal you want.. I've shopped at Andy's for years and questioned this a few times. I won't be using them ever again. If you can do fish, chips, sausages and sauce Or pie chips and sauces or 2x sausage and sauce or 2.x fish and sauce. Then you can do just 1 x fish and sauce. ... It's not hard By not offering this option as a deal you are discriminating against pescatarians...”

“I haven't used this chippy for a number of years and won't again. Paid for a savloy then got told they didn't have any. Chips were soggy. I ordered mini box with fish, sausage chips and a curry sauce on top. The fish was more like a fish finger. The sausage was rubbery, soggy chips very runny curry sauce and the whole lot was drowning in vinegar. All very expensive.”

“Not local but was at a meeting in the area last night so thought I’d grab tea on the way. Best fish I’ve had in a while, lovely batter! Thanks”
