About Millie’s Place

On Bridgnorth's High Street, Millie's Place is a bistro set in an old-world building, with a menu that covers breakfast through to the afternoon. The kitchen turns out bacon and sausage sandwiches, pancakes and breakfast wraps alongside jacket potatoes, soup and panini, with a vegi breakfast and gluten free bread on the options too. Lasagne, hunters chicken and a BBQ chicken panini broaden the range past the everyday sandwich list, and cakes sit alongside the food. Dogs are welcome inside, and the counter service keeps things moving.

Customer Review Summary

Most reviewers come back for the breakfast, with bacon and sausage sandwiches and pancakes singled out as generous, good value choices, and breakfast wraps earning praise for being filling and affordable. Close behind is the friendly, efficient front-of-house, repeatedly described as welcoming even on busy days, alongside an easygoing atmosphere in the old building. A smaller group picks out the coffee, lasagne and paninis as solid picks. Several reviewers, however, report a clear quality problem: tinned tomatoes and tinned vegetable soup that left a bacon and tomato sandwich soggy and a vegetarian breakfast tasting flat, with one also flagging a cross-contamination concern for coeliacs. Other complaints name the Hunters Chicken swimming in sauce and a thin tuna sandwich, and a few note that soup was overpriced and bland. Several suggest stopping in for a simple, reasonably priced breakfast or lunch.

“Really nice to find a cafe that has stayed down to earth without losing the charm of its lovely old-world building. Simple but effective menu (panini, jackets, soup) with a couple of wider choices like lasagne or pancakes; fast and friendly service and actually affordable. Highly recommend.”

“Vegi breakfast. 25 min wait - not good. Food was piping hot - a plus. However it is mid-August and fresh tomatoes are plentiful including at the market 50 yards away and yet they are using tasteless watery tinned chopped tomatoes. I think the mushrooms were probably tinned too. Come on guys, have some imagination and use some fresh ingredients when possible.”

“Don't order HUNTERS CHICKEN it was in a dish swimming in sauce the beacon was sloppy not well done. McDonald's chips and a bit of green but there again it cost a £10 so what can I expect. Won't go again”

“Absolutely lovely cafe! Came in recently with my partner and children and it was one of the best experiences. My partner had a bacon sandwich (I wanted to steal it for myself), I had a bacon and sausage sandwich and the kids both enjoyed some lovely pancakes. All very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get! Lots of options for food and drink, plus some lovely looking cakes too! Big ups for the staff as well - it was a busy day but they were all so friendly and kind. There was two ladies having a fun laugh around which really helped the atmosphere :)”
