About The Sycamore Inn
The Sycamore Inn is a pub and English restaurant at 9 Sycamore Road in Matlock, housed in an old coaching inn. The kitchen serves home-cooked food, and some of its vegetables are grown on the pub's own allotment. Pies include a steak and ale pie, and the Sunday roast comes with a choice of chicken, lamb or beef, with a vegetarian option for Sunday lunch. At the bar, real ales sit alongside a wider range of beers. Outside, a boules court gives visitors a game to play over a pint. Dogs are welcome.

“Have had two of the best pub meals i think i have ever had. Their pies are to die for, full to the brim with succulent meat and the biggest portions i have ever seen. Went back today for a sunday roast while we were visiting Matlock. Oh my goodness, absolutely delicious and enough to feed a horse. Fresh grown veggies from their own allotment. Absolutely worth every penny. The hosts are super friendly and very welcoming. I look forward to returning again on our next visit for another super meal and ambience.”

“Excellent little find this, superb pies and good beer. Staff are brilliant as well. Having tried the pies we went back for Sunday lunch and you would be hard pressed to find better anywhere. Fresh vegetables and perfectly cooked roast meats, choice of chicken, lamb or beef. There is also a vegetarian option. We finished off with a game of petanque in the garden. If you are in Matlock I would highly recommend.”
