Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the friendly bar staff, with one saying they felt like locals while on holiday. Close behind are the food, including a good roast, and a breakfast made with fresh local produce, plus a clean room and comfy bed. One diner wanted an alternative to the Sunday carvery, the only option offered, and one visitor found no dark house beers available.

“Lovely pub with very friendly bar staff who make you feel very welcome when you’re on holiday! 😆 We felt like locals with how much they talked to us, it was really lovely! They were very funny too and nice! ☺️ Sadly didn’t try any of their own beers because they didn’t have any dark ones available at that time but ended up having John Smith’s, Kev’s Bitter and Bass which were good! Lovely surrounds, with lots of room everywhere to sit and a very big bar to get served at! Nice back garden 🪴 and front patio area to sit in the sun! 🌞 Would definitely come again if we were in the area and recommend it! 🩷 Didn’t try the food this time but would if we came again as they said it was really nice!”
