  “Nice spot in the city with tasty soul food and excellent attentive service. We got the mixed platter and a Seperate loaded fries. Everything tasted fresh and went down a treat. Portion size was very generous. The price was very reasonable and the waitress was superb with her hospitality.”

  “Really enjoyed my visit to Soul and Surf Manchester. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice, but what stood out most was the service from Temi and Precious. They were both friendly, attentive, and made me feel welcome without being over the top. They checked in at the right times and helped make the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Thanks again to both of them would happily come back”

  “Visited with my sister and I can say it was worth every pounds spent. The quality of the food was surprisingly shocking considering we both didn’t eat before going so we could create space in our tummy but we had to take the remains home. Downside for me was the space as it’s too small and the time to wait for the food was too long but I guess it comes with what it’s been made.”

  “What a captivating experience The flavour profile is unlike any that I have seen in MCR African soul food at its best In comparison to other african places which can be just too spicy, this place has a perfect blend of flavours that has a nice tangy kick to it yet the flavour is not over powering enough that you can not taste the protien Alot of other african restaurants tailor their food for British people but not these guys and surprisingly so I have found the place with a lot of British people when I dined in Truely an experience that borders the epitome of food sexuality”

  “We visited this week and loved it. The space is tiny and can only can accommodate a few people at a time but you are able to order online for take away. The food was tasty and the only thing I would change would be the mac and cheese as it was not really my kind of taste. The staff were friendly. The only downside was the fact that we had to wait for over 30 mins for the food to arrive”

  “My husband and I visited today for the first time and had an absolutely incredible experience! We both ordered the Surf Box with lobster tail and king prawns — the food was outstanding. Everything was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour. The service was friendly and the atmosphere really welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!”

  “The interior is quite small and cramped when it gets busy, the tables are quite close together and not very big. We ordered a platter which comes with rice, mac and cheese and 2 sides. The food is halal. I wanted to try the lobster tail. It was nice and so were the prawns, plantain which I've never had before. Chicken wings were nice and crispy. Rice was ok. Food was nice but took quite some time to arrive. Service charge of 10% was added on but not explained beforehand, it was just added to the bill. I don't mind paying Service charge if Service is good but in this case I thought Service was average.”

  “This was a great find. They had some unique options on the menu such as lobster tail and turkey wings. The restaurant is quite small so booking ahead is recommended. The food was tasty, the mains portion size were great and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. I've had to remove a star because the food took a while to come out (even though there weren't that many people in the restaurant at the time), and the portion size of the small bites was very small. For £6 I expected a few more wings. We ordered the Salmon and King Prawn Surf Box and peppered turkey wings.”
