About Forno Pizzeria Altrincham
Forno Pizzeria Altrincham is a halal Neapolitan-style pizza restaurant in Manchester, on Stamford New Rd at number 104. The pizzas are baked fresh, and the mushroom and truffle pizza is one of the options on the menu. A small antipasto sits alongside the pizzas for starting a meal, and the drinks list includes an Aperol spritz. Because the kitchen is halal, it works for diners who eat only halal food. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along. The restaurant has a large dining area.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the Neapolitan pizza itself, describing a soft, light dough and a crispy base rather than a floppy one, with the mushroom and truffle pizza and the small antipasto singled out as good. Several call the pizzas huge yet not heavy, and a few mention fair prices. Diners also point to the dips and the flavours as standouts, and many describe friendly, helpful staff and a lovely welcome. Slow service is the main complaint. One reviewer waited a very long time for pizzas, and another had to remind staff repeatedly about taking orders and bringing the bill. One opening-week diner described a pizza that arrived very oily compared with an identical order, an aperol spritz that was not the right colour, and a single chef on shift at times. Others found the crust a bit salty, the sauce light on taste, and too much tomato around the edges. The large room can feel less homely when quiet, and one visitor suggested table numbers so staff could find the right tables.

“We’d been meaning to try here for a while and had a lovely time! Pizza was very good, dough was soft and not chewy. Perfect to share or have to yourself 🍕. We will definitely come back soon!”

“Good selection of tasty, freshly baked Neapolitan pizzas at fair prices. Friendly, efficient service from all staff. The restaurant is quite large and can lack a bit of homely atmosphere during the day, when it is not busy.”

“Visited a few weeks back and it took a very long time for staff to take our orders and to get our bill. We had to remind them on a few occasions that we were waiting. Pizzas were okay- size was great but not much taste from the sauce. The venue itself was lovely but took far too long to order, get pizzas and then the bill.”

“Pizza was excellent, I thought Altrincham didn’t need any more pizza places but these were really good, Neapolitan with a crispy base and not the floppy sloppy kind you often get. good ingredients cooked and seasoned well, will definitely go again”
