Customer Review Summary
Burgers draw the most comment at Archie's, and opinions split sharply. One reviewer calls the truffle burger the best they have tasted, another says their burger beats KFC and Popeyes, and the milkshakes are called lovely. Several diners praise friendly, smiling staff who helped them through the menu, and the hot pink interior and easy seating get a mention. The complaints are just as concrete and recur. Reviewers describe cold food, dry chicken, a burnt Texas BBQ burger, a greasy sando dripping with oil, burnt turkey bacon on atomic fries, and tenders with the coating falling off. One party received two of three burgers wrong, with tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise they had asked to leave off. Others call the drinks small or flat, the peri chips sparse, and the cost too high for what arrived. One reviewer found toilets without toilet roll. After one diner complained about the sando, they were offered a waffle or milkshake, then a refund once a third staff member came over.

“I honestly don’t understand the hype around Archie’s. We paid around £55 for three burgers (one of them small), all with chips, and unfortunately two out of the three burgers were wrong. One had tomatoes on when we specifically asked for no tomatoes, and another had lettuce and mayonnaise when we asked for neither. The burgers then had to be corrected, which added even more time to the order. We waited over 25–30 minutes for the food in total. The chips were okay, and I have to say the milkshakes were lovely, but for the price I really expected much better. For around £55, I just don’t think it’s worth it. Personally, I’d rather go to Burger King, spend less money and know I’m getting what I ordered. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t go back. Not worth the hype or the price in my opinion. The restaurant it self was lovely but the toilets needed a good clean 3/4 the toilets didn't have toilet roil on thrm.”

“Absolutely beautiful place and the food was so tasty! Very filling! The friendliest of welcome by a lovely lady called Sandra. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back!”

“I was really disappointed with my experience at Archie’s. The food was awful from start to finish. It was served cold, the chicken was rock hard and extremely dry, making it difficult to eat. The drinks were completely flat, as if they had been left open for hours. Nothing tasted fresh, and the overall quality was far below what I expected. To make matters worse, the prices are far too high for food of this standard. They were charging separately for burgers, fries and drinks. When I spoke to the manager he did not do anything either. Definitely not worth the money, and I won’t be returning. Please do not waste your money here as you will be disappointed.”

“First time trying Archie’s, Customer service was quite bad, was impatient and rushing whilst i was the only customer in the queue. Drink was a very small portion and tasted like it was mixed with water. Ordered peri chips and received chips with only the top few having a small amount. 3 buffalo hot chicken tenders were not worth the price and had barely any sauce on them. Texas bbq burger worst of all was burnt had dry and lacking flavour. Definitely not worth the price”

“I think the pink drew me in alongside a reasonable priced burger. I was greeted at the counter by a lovely smiling young woman after having a look around. The place was moderate on sit in diners. I placed an order for Truffle burger, truffle fries and three-piece perri perri chicken, alongside a hot!! matcha 🍵 >> after waiting approximately 15 minutes I was served food and drink 5 mins or less after paying. The matcha was lukewarm. I took it back to counter and was done again. No problemo Oh and no table phone chargers were located. Could do with a sparky fixing that issue. Apart from that the staff are sound!! Smiling and helpful in guiding through menu 🍔 Thanks everyone. P.s that burger is better than some of my sexual encounters- yum 🤤 best ever tasted. I’ll be back.”
