Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the cakes, several of them home made, with a cheesecake and a toasted tea cake named among them. Coffee comes close behind, including an extra strong cappuccino, and one reviewer found a matcha up to scratch. Sandwiches and panini served warm, plus halal, vegetarian and gluten free options, round out the food. Several describe a relaxed atmosphere, with non-intrusive background jazz or ambient music, plenty of seating and friendly staff. The complaints are fewer but specific. One longtime regular says the coffee has turned lighter, a large cup was not filled properly, and a mocha black forest tasted like light hot chocolate after the barista changed. Another reviewer rated the service poorly after a man at the till swore loudly on the phone and shouted across the room about toilet use. Others call it a family run place, and one recalls a staff member checking on an elderly woman and telling her to stay as long as she wanted.

“Was recommended this place by a friend whilst I was visiting Manchester. We had great service from a lady who said her name was Huda. She approached us whilst we looked at the ice creams and her customer service was lovely. Would love to return when I visit Manchester again 😊”

“This was a nice cafe with good coffee. Relaxed atmosphere and just the right volume of music in the background made sipping coffee here and sitting a relaxing experience. Staff were friendly and considerate.”

“Food at cafe la fina has been good. Got a cheese cake and a matcha and both were up to scratch. But the customer service needs a lot of work. The man behind the til with the curly hair was openly swearing loudly on the phone complaining about customers using the toilets. He loudly shouted across the room to stop someone going to the toilets in an aggressive manner. If the toilets aren’t allowed to be used then this can said in a polite tone. Very uncomfortable environment especially as a women. Wont be going back unfortunately.”

“I’ve been a regular at this café for quite a while, and it used to be one of my favorite spots for coffee. The quality was always consistent, and I really enjoyed every visit. However, over the past two weeks, I’ve noticed a change. The coffee now tastes much lighter than before and doesn’t have the same rich flavor I used to love. I also ordered a large recently, but the cup wasn’t even filled properly, which was a bit disappointing. Order a mocha black forrest but taste like light hot chocolate . I’ve also noticed that the barista is no longer the same as before, so I’m not sure if that’s related to the change in quality. I really hope this is just a temporary issue, as I’d love to continue coming back to the café I used to enjoy so much.”
