The coffee was outstanding—rich, smooth, and perfectly prepared with a beautiful crema. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and attentive, and the service was quick and professional. Whether you’re stopping by for a coffee or spending time with friends, the atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable. “I’d been meaning to try Sultanahmet Bistro & Grill for a while, and I’m glad I finally did. It’s easily one of the best Turkish restaurants I’ve been to in Manchester. One thing that confused me at first was the entrance. I thought the café and restaurant were two separate places, but they’re actually the same business, with the café downstairs and the restaurant upstairs. The service was brilliant from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, attentive and happy to help, which made the whole meal even more enjoyable. We were brought complimentary bread, olives and two dipping sauces before our food arrived. The bread was fresh with a soft middle and a slight crisp on the outside, and both sauces paired with it really well. I ordered the Kiymali Pide with an Ayran, both for the first time. The pide was full of flavour, the minced meat was well seasoned, and the bread was fresh and baked perfectly. If you’ve never tried Ayran before, it’s a savoury yoghurt drink that’s really refreshing and went surprisingly well with the meal. To finish, I went for a baklava. It was fresh, crispy, full of pistachio and not overly sweet, exactly what I was hoping for. The restaurant itself is also worth mentioning. There’s plenty of seating upstairs, so it would be a great spot for families or larger groups, and the atmosphere felt relaxed without being too loud. Overall, I can definitely see why this place gets recommended so often. Great food, genuinely good service and fair prices. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.”

Customer Review Summary
Turkish breakfast with Turkish tea is what most reviewers return to, describing both as delicious and fresh. The menemen earns praise for rich flavours and fantastic bread, and another reviewer calls the spinach bread and salad lush. Close behind are the Turkish sweets, including baklava and fresh kunafa served with ice cream, with one reviewer noting a baklava full of pistachio and not overly sweet. Also mentioned are a kiymali pide with ayran and a coffee with a beautiful crema. Service is usually called friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the atmosphere relaxed and homely. The main complaint comes from one three-star visit: a wait at the counter, trouble getting an order placed, a rushed server, and no Turkish tea available. That reviewer settled for the cheaper frozen San Sebastian cake and found the slice small and a little grainy. One diner upstairs was brought complimentary bread, olives and two dipping sauces before the food arrived.
