Customer Review Summary
Desserts and cakes draw the most praise, with reviewers singling out the apple crumble with ice cream, the Matilda cake, and the chocolate kunafa. Close behind are the waffles, a new Spanish latte, and very good coffee, while a couple of diners also enjoyed the Caesar salad and pasta. Staff come up repeatedly as friendly and attentive, and two reviewers describe birthdays handled with care. The complaints are specific. One reviewer found only two staff covering upstairs and downstairs on a busy day, so service was slow and they had to go downstairs to place their order. Another says it was very hot inside, with an overwhelming smell of frying that clung to their clothes, and suggests better ventilation. A parent notes nothing was offered for children, such as colouring pencils, and finds the artificial flowers on every table a bit cheap. One birthday guest asked for a candle on a cake and received a little strawberry treat with a candle and a candy card.

“I’ve visited this place twice and the food was great each time. However, during my second visit, it was very hot inside and the smell of food and frying was overwhelming. To be honest, it ruined the experience, and my clothes caught the smell of the kitchen. I think they really need better ventilation, especially in hot weather”

“Visited Haute Space Dolci on Deansgate recently and had a really good experience overall. The food was absolutely great and everything we ordered was enjoyable. The lady who served us was also very pleasant and welcoming, even though I didn’t get her name. The only downside was that there were just two staff members serving both upstairs and downstairs while the café was quite busy, so service was a bit slow and we had to come downstairs to place our order even though we were seated upstairs. That said, the staff handled it as best they could and remained friendly throughout. Apart from that, everything was lovely and I’d definitely visit again for the food and atmosphere.”
