About The Bridge Tavern
The Bridge Tavern is a pub at 58 Bridge St in Manchester, fitted out with period decor. The bar keeps two Taylor's beers on handpump, Landlord and Boltmaker, alongside Guinness and Madri on draught, and it also makes cocktails. The ground floor is one large through room, and an upstairs restaurant serves food. A DJ plays at the pub, and a guitarist performs live music on some evenings. Sky Sports football and other matches show on the screens.

Customer Review Summary
Live music is the most frequent draw, with reviewers describing a guitarist who was really good on a weekday afternoon and live music all evening on a Sunday as fabulous. Close behind is the beer, with a good selection praised and Taylor's Landlord and Boltmaker on handpump singled out, the Boltmaker called a good pint. Others are less sold: one found no real ales on at lunchtime and only a passable Guinness, and another called the Madri poor. Several describe a basic, average pub that suits one drink before moving on, quiet early in the day. Complaints include music volume called over the top, a roof terrace closed for years and a neglected top floor. One reviewer says two single vodkas were rung up as doubles on two weeks in a row. Another was among several families asked to leave partway through a football match, after the bartender had said it was fine to watch.

“Good place but: Roof terrace has been closed for years. Was the best bit about this bar. The music volume is absolutely insane, loud music is good but it’s over the top here. That’s subjective though I guess. The top floor is quite neglected. Good bar though, worth going in for one. Live music is good too”

“Walked in to watch a football match with my 17 year old son. Bar tender said it was fine then new employee walked in and rudely kicked out several families 25 mins into the match without warning. He said he changed his mind on who could be there. So many pubs nearby… definitely not worth going here”

“Called in about 4pm they had sky sports games on and a lad playing guitar who was really good . A little busy but got served no problem at the bar . Plenty bar staff on. Good selection of beers be had a gin and tonic and a pint of Guinness price around £12 Not bad for Manchester. We will definitely return soon”

“Saturday around 8pm I was here and I saw an an old man slap a member of staffs bottom. She was clearly uncomfortable, the guy got kicked out but it seems like this happens quite a lot here and I really hope the management take it seriously. Manchester pubs and bars need to protect women front of house and bar staff”

“Warning! They over charge for drinks! We asked for 2 single vodka with coke, received 2 singles. They logged it as doubles on the till and tried to charge is £39.00 while she hid the price on the card machine. Noticed 2 weeks in a row this was done so its not by accident. Definitely won't be going again and will not be reccomending to others”
