About Chapel House
Chapel House is a pub in Manchester, at 145 Stockport Rd, with a weekly programme of entertainment. The quiz night carries a cash prize, karaoke runs as its own night, and a live artist plays on a separate evening. Large screens show sport, including football and boxing, and the pub also shows horse racing, with a bookies next door. A pool table sits in the bar, and a darts team plays from the pub. Chapel House hosts parties, events and tournaments, and a large car park serves visitors who drive.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to sport on the big screens, with football, boxing and horse racing named, alongside a lively events calendar: an artist on Saturday nights, karaoke on Sundays, and a Wednesday quiz and games night with a cash prize. Others mention a Coronation Day DJ and kids event, Strongbows, and pasties for food. Many call it a friendly neighbourhood boozer with great beer and a good place for a drink and a chat, and one says it suits parties of all occasions. Slow service at the bar is the recurring complaint. One reviewer stood about 15 minutes during the boxing without being served, another says the bar felt ignored, and one describes a ladies tournament with one person serving 60 or 70 customers and long waits. Another says last orders were refused at 9.20 while regulars at another table kept being served. A darts team member also says prices rose after a change of ownership, and the pool table stayed uncovered during a darts match with 20 plus players.

“Great local pub, nice drinks. I’d like to visit more but it’s just slightly too far away from me.”

“Since Kirsten left this pub is a joke. We have a darts team here and the owner refuses to cover the pool table despite there being 20 plus people playing darts. He's upped the prices within days of taking over as well. So the same beer. Same taste, same ingredients. The place has literally gone downhill for years...”

“Went in for Coronation Day, DJ and kids event, football on several TV's, Had a few Strongbows. They sell Pasties if you want something to eat. Usually show Horse Racing too as is next door to a local bookies. Has outside drinking area front and back and has large carpark.”
