  “The service was the best part. Shafin and Dennison went the extra mile. When your meal is not quite right, those are the best opportunities for service recoveries and indeed the team turned a sad salty meal right around for me with a quick replacement. Will go back.”

  “Amazing dinner at this steakhouse. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly—tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. The goat cheese salad was fresh and well-balanced, with creamy cheese that paired beautifully with the crisp greens. The soya salmon was another standout, perfectly cooked with a rich, savoury glaze that was delicious. Great food, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service from Nira made a fantastic dining experience. Definitely a place I'll be coming back to. Instagram @dininginlondon”

  “Our server, Nira, was so warm and welcoming, she treated us like royalty. The food was delicious the chef, Oliver, did amazing. The complimentary dessert was a surprising addition and welcoming. We had such a good experience for our group of 5.”

  “Delicious fillet steak and fries with mixed tomato side salad, very good wine selection too. Comfortable lounge area for pre and post dinner drinks. Wonderful attentive and friendly service. Great setting!”

  “We had a wonderful dining experience at Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish cooked to perfection and full of flavour. A special thank you to our lovely waitress, Nira, who provided outstanding service throughout the afternoon. She was warm, friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Her professionalism and genuine care added so much to our experience. Excellent food, exceptional service, and a fantastic atmosphere. We would highly recommend Gillray’s and look forward to returning on our next visit to London.”

  “We had a lovely pre-theatre dinner here. The service was excellent and very professional, and the view over the river added to the experience. The ambiance was relaxed and just what we were hoping for. The restaurant is located inside the Marriott Hotel on the South Bank at County Hall, which makes it a convenient spot before a show. The food was delicious and good value for the quality. Would happily return.”

  “Stopped in along the way for a latè and a bite to eat. The food was as you would expect in such a hotel. The atmosphere was very calm and casual. The staff were the winners though. Right from the first person who greeted us everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. We said we were there for afternoon tea not realising what that would lead to, the "afternoon tea". Since we were after a quick bite the staff quickly realized the mistake and showed us to Gillray's. In doing so he suggested we take a particular seat which has the Big Ben view. Cheers bro, good tip. Really enjoyed it despite paying $30AUD for two latès🤭, but they were really good latès. Thanks guys you all helped to make it a really good day.”

  “Gillray’s is amazing! The view of the Thames and Westminster is wonderful, and the cocktails are even better. We came a little too late for afternoon tea (they stop serving it at 5:00), so we split the hot honey chicken sandwich and had a few drinks. My husband just had a beer, but I tried the Temperance cocktail and absolutely LOVED it! I ended up drinking (3) of them!!! I definitely recommend this place. The chairs and atmosphere are very cozy and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and efficient. We will be coming back for sure!”

  “The food was good but there were too many mistakes. The steaks were delicious and exactly how we ordered them. They took a slightly longer time but still relatively reasonable. Price was an average London steakhouse cost. However, although the waiters were polite, they made many errors such as forgetting to switch cutlery and plates, therefore leaving our table flooded with things and mixing up orders, serving us food we didn’t order and getting a replacement wrong. At least they compensated us for it. Overall, not the best and a slightly worse performance than last time, however I think they just messed up this time. I think they will improve over time though.”
