Customer Review Summary
Steak is the main draw at Black & Blue, with diners describing a ribeye cooked medium-rare that was tender, juicy and well-seasoned, and others calling it the best steak they have had. Close behind are a burger paired with a glass of Merlot, the truffle fries, the tuna tartare and the sticky toffee pudding, while one reviewer found the vegetarian dishes a pleasant surprise. A Piña Colada that wasn't too sweet gets a mention too. Staff are often described as friendly and attentive, and one group of twelve had all its food out together and quickly. The negatives are specific. One reviewer says a steak ordered medium-well arrived well done and heavily charred, another found a quinoa avocado salad dry and tasteless, and one party felt a server was curt over a ketchup request and wondered whether bias played a part. Another pair were moved from a table to the bar mid-drink despite a quiet room. A birthday diner noted the air conditioning struggled on a hot day, though the desserts drew praise even from a disappointed lunch guest.

“Had a very nice meal here. We went with a large group so there were 12 of us. They managed to get all our food out together and very quickly without compromising standards. Everything was delicious. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Would highly recommend.”

“We walked in for a drink and asked for a table for 2. We were seated inside in the dining area without being asked if were only there for drinks. We ordered a round of drinks and said we wouldn't be ordering food. We were rudely moved mid drinking to the bar inspite of the place being three quarters empty did not even wait for us to finish our drinks. We did not bother ordering any more drinks and wont be coming back.”
