About The Jones Family Kitchen
In Victoria, London, The Jones Family Kitchen is a steak house at 7-8 Eccleston Yards. Steak anchors the menu, with a fillet served alongside spinach, a jacket potato and peppercorn sauce. Beef cheeks appear as either a starter or a main, and dauphinoise potatoes come as a side. The drinks list runs to wine, cocktails and Provence rosé, along with international whiskies, and a happy hour features house red wine. A free cloakroom by the entrance keeps belongings safe until guests collect them with a ticket, which leaves tables clear for the meal.

Customer Review Summary
Steak is the draw at this Victoria spot, with reviewers pointing to a fillet with peppercorn sauce, a ribeye with truffle mac and cheese, and a steak paired with the house red during happy hour. Close behind are the beef cheeks, described as tender and melt in the mouth, plus dauphinoise, a walnut and dark chocolate tart and a Provence rosé. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, and reviewers describe thoughtful touches: a birthday card signed in different languages, a handwritten card with free champagne and desserts, and a free cloakroom. Several praise the pretty, cosy decor and lively atmosphere, and one calls it the cutest pub in Victoria. The main criticism comes from one celebratory family dinner, where the steak was overcooked and underseasoned, the sashimi starter flavourless and the creamed spinach only passable, which the reviewer felt fell short for the cheaper cuts used. Even so, that diner found the staff very nice, and the free desserts and signed birthday card stand out in the praise.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An excellent experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully prepared. The service was outstanding—everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. A special mention goes to the restroom, which was spotless. It's clear that the restaurant pays attention to every detail and truly cares about its guests. One of the best dining experiences I've had in London. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back!”

“Fantastic evening, incredibly friendly staff, delicious food and a lovely ambience/restaurant design. Happy hour offered exceptional value for the house red wine which was delicious and perfect with our steak. This was my 2nd visit and again it didn't disappoint.”

“Came to celebrate engagement with family - staff very nice and atmosphere good but food very underwhelming. Steak overcooked and underseasoned. Within a degree seasoning is personal choice, but cheap cuts like the ones used here do need extra love, especially at the prices charged. Sashimi starter flavourless, creamed spinach passable, a wonderful establishment tainted by food verging on bad”

“Such a lovely place! Been before for cocktails years ago but not food. Had a fillet steak here for first time last night with spinach, jacket potato and peppercorn sauce. Never really had steak before and it was absolutely delicious! The staff are really friendly and attentive and the Provence rose wine was lush! The walnut and dark chocolate tart was also v yummy. The atmosphere was lovely and bustly for a wednesday eve. Would 100% go again! Thanks so much! 😋”
