About Angus Steakhouse
Angus Steakhouse is a steak house in Leicester Square, near Covent Garden, at 20 Cranbourn St in London. It has served steaks since 1963, starting from a butcher's vision. Steaks are cooked to each guest's preference, from a 12oz ribeye to a 1kg T-bone to share between two, and they arrive with a choice of sides and a mushroom sauce. Halal steak is available for guests who want it. Sticky toffee pudding rounds out the meal as a dessert. The team picks up on celebrations such as birthdays and accommodates a special cake brought in for the occasion.

Customer Review Summary
Steak is the draw, with reviewers praising it as cooked exactly as asked: a 1kg T Bone shared between two, a 12oz ribeye with chunky chips, and fillet steak with mushroom sauce, beans and mash. One diner notes the steak is halal. Close behind is the service, which many describe as friendly and warm, with servers who worked out a birthday unprompted and accommodated a celebration cake. The sticky toffee pudding gets repeated mentions, and others name corn ribs, chicken full of flavour, fish and chips, a special old fashioned and a pina colada that was not too strong. The caveats are small. One reviewer found the apple crumble very watery, and another found the room a bit noisy on a Friday evening, though it did not spoil the visit. One diner who asked for a steak to be cooked a little more was given extra French fries for the inconvenience, and another returned a second time in the same week.

“I was rushly heading to catch my booking for Titanique when I spotted Angus Steakhouse, and as a big fan of their famous sticky toffee pudding, I simply couldn’t resist the idea to pop in ans ask for a quick order. 😍 Many thanks to lovely Dorota who welcomed me so warmly although I dod not have a prior reservation and made sure my order was served within just 7 minutes.👏❤️ A big thank you to Marian for personally serving me the most delicious dessert, and to beautiful Madi for taking such good care of my table until I left. 🍮❤️ I truly felt so pampered by their friendly, attentive and caring treatment. What a lovely experience! 🥰 I highly recommend the chain as you absolutely must try their main menu — they have some of the best meat and salmon dishes in London. 🥩🐟🇬🇧 Thank you Angus Steakhouse team for making my quick visit such a delightful one! ❤️ I am grateful 🙏.”

“First time trying and it serves halal steak! It was really excellent. I had the corn ribs to start which were simple and nice, then fillet steak with a side of beans and mash and the mushroom sauce. It was divine. Really good. Service was speedy and my waitress, Geta was utterly lovely. She was so genuine and warm and possibly the best waitress I have b met. Thank you ♥️”

“Amazing food and service. The staff were so helpful and caring. The two blonde ladies of which we don’t know there names were stars⭐️⭐️and they figured it was a birthday without us even telling. I asked for my steak to be cooked a little more and they were very accommodating and gave extra French fries for the inconvenience that wasn’t even there’s. 10/10 will be back🩷 thank you xxx”

Highlights
“It started with a butcher's vision, great steaks at prices that don't spoil the fun. Since then, we've become part of London's landscape, booths filled with first dates, family laughs, theatre crowds, and tourists discovering the city. We've seen the West End change, but our promise hasn't. Big portions, honest cooking, and hospitality that feels genuine. Since 1963, Angus Steakhouse has been the warm spot in the West End where heritage meets hospitality. Our venues in prime spots like Oxford Circus, Bond Street, and Leicester Square are anchors for making moments special.”
