About Little Georgia Hackney
Little Georgia Hackney is a Georgian restaurant at 87 Goldsmiths Row in Hackney, London, run as a family business. It works on a bring-your-own-bottle basis, so guests bring their own drinks and no alcohol is sold on site. Diners who want Georgian wine with their meal can buy a bottle from a shop across the street and carry it over. The menu is built around khachapuri, including the Adjaruli cheese bread, and khinkali, with the kitchen cooking its dishes in-house in the traditional Georgian way. Tarragon-flavoured lemonade is on the drinks list for anyone who prefers something without alcohol.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the khachapuri, with the cheese bread and the Adjaruli variety described as some of the finest they have tried. Khinkali and the eggplant rolls come up close behind, along with the mezze board, a borscht one diner's Ukrainian relative rated among the best ever, and a tarragon lemonade called curious. The honey walnut cake is repeatedly praised as a dessert, one reviewer noting its strong dark honey aroma. Staff are described as friendly, welcoming and accommodating, and several mention the BYOB arrangement and nearby Georgian wine. Outdoor tables get a mention for watching people stroll by. The main caveats are cost and pace: a few call it a little pricey, while others say food arrived quickly and one found service a bit slow. Another notes orders can take a while because the place is so popular. Several suggest booking, as the restaurant was very busy and turned away several walk-ins during one visit.

“Really great food and cute atmosphere - starters were particularly great but all mains very tasty too. The borscht (not pictured) was the first I've ever had but my Ukrainian sis in law agreed it was one of the best ever tried”

“I'm a big fan of Georgian cuisine and this little restaurant didn't disappoint! One of the finest Adjaruli we've tried. The hinkali were great and the honey walnut cake to finsh the meal was absolutly stunning with strong dark (probably buckwheat) honey aroma - really enjoyed it. As for the service - was a bit slow for our liking, but rather welcoming. I might not recommend this place for a romantic night out but their food is absolutely delicious and I'd happily come again just for it. Thank you!”

The tarragon flavoured lemonade was curious and wirth trying. A bit pricey but worth it. Would definitely like to come back again.”
