About El Ganso Cafe
El Ganso Cafe is a Spanish restaurant at 59-61 Broadway Market in London, serving modern Spanish tapas alongside a brunch menu. The tapas list is built around Spanish dishes, with Iberico pork and black tiger prawns among the plates, and Spanish cheesecake finishes the meal on the dessert side. A separate express lunch menu runs for midday visits, so the kitchen covers brunch, lunch and tapas under one roof. The drinks list sits alongside the food, and the menu marks the main allergens in each dish. The restaurant is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to the pork dishes, with the pork belly (served with apple purée in one account) and the Iberico pork named as highlights. Close behind are the black tiger prawns, described as plump and perfectly cooked, and the vegan breakfast, which one pair found generous enough to share and returned for three days running. Others mention aubergine with hummus, the Spanish cheesecake, margaritas, sangria and homemade lemonade. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, warm and attentive, and the outdoor seating and lively Saturday evening buzz get a mention. One reviewer says the menu was clearly labelled with allergens and a gluten allergy was handled really well. The one caveat comes from a diner who found portions smaller than usual even by tapas standards, though they called the taste phenomenal. Several describe coming back again, and one reviewer praised the lunch deal and air conditioning on a hot day.

“"cool as chips" (or, in this case "cool as patatas bravas"). This place buzzes on a Saturday evening. Lively, and the friendliest of staff. Despite it being busy, they were awesome. And the food? If you like Tapas, love variety, and want an authentic Tapas experience then this is _the_ place in Hackney to visit. Sit outside and watch the world go by. Sit inside and soak up the vibe. Soak up some Sangria at the same time! We, dear readers, will be back.”

“What a lovely tapas restaurant with air conditioning—a welcome escape on a hot day! The £16 lunch deal is fantastic value, and the food exceeded expectations. The pork belly with apple purée was delicious, and the black tiger prawns were plump and perfectly cooked. Friendly, attentive staff made the experience even better. Already planning my next visit to try more of the tapas menu. Highly recommended!”
