Quick info
About Kebabish Original
Kebabish Original is a Pakistani restaurant in London at 692 High Rd. Leyton. The kitchen cooks meat and vegetarian kebabs over flame and pairs them with traditional curries, so a table of mixed tastes can order from one menu. The Jebab roll and a full grilled chicken sit alongside doner and kebab, while samosas come filled with either meat or vegetables. Naan and biryani round out the meal. The restaurant takes walk-ins and has no proper table service. The High Road location sits close to a park and a mosque.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers who rate the food well point to the jebab roll and full grilled chicken, and a few praise the naan and the chilli sauce, while one calls the Pakistani food authentic and reasonably priced. Many others describe a decline, saying portions have shrunk while prices rose. A longtime regular found the doner mostly fat, the chips tasting frozen and the biryani without flavour. Samosas draw repeated criticism: one reviewer found them half filled with dry, stale meat, and another reports food poisoning after eating a samosa they believed was days old. One diner threw away rice after being told it was fresh. Service comments are mixed, from good staff and a clean room to no proper service, takeaway customers sitting at occupied tables, and a dining room said to need a refurb. One reviewer asked for their money back after the samosa order.

“Very poor restaurant. I ask him is rice fresh? He said yes! I took it and threw it later. Not recommended.”

“Disgusting staff members. Disgusting food. Never met such awful people who don’t know how to do busy. Shut this place down”

“Spent about £35 on Sunday evening. While the jebab roll and full grilled chicken was lovely as per usual, I had also bought 2 meat and 2 veg samosas and I was so disappointed. They were half filled, more Pastry than filling and meat was very dry and stale and not enough mince meat. I WOULD LILE MY MONEY BACK.”

“expensive when you see the portions arent exactly the biggest but tastes really good”

“This place has gone downill BAD. Been coming here for over 10 years, but since they've had new management the food has been terrible, service also - ordered a large donner, to see they put it in the same size as a normal box and was just full of fat. Plus, no customer service skills what so ever, felt like they was giving me free food when I'm the one paying. Honetly, it's a shame, never coming back here again. Please just go somewhere else other than here!!! Chips tasted frozen, doner was fatty, no flavour in biryani. Only nice thing was the naan to be honest!”
