  “We had a lovely time today with my family. I went with my daughter and her family who are loyal customers in your restaurant. I don't leave in UK but this will be definitely a place to visit next time. The waitress (Faiza)was really really nice, attentive to all details and has a great customers service skills. The food was delicious, fresh and good quantity. The tea pot perfect for sharing breakfast with a candle who made it hot throughout all breakfasts”

  “We recently visited this restaurant to celebrate our daughter’s surprise birthday, and it was truly a wonderful experience from start to finish. The staff were incredibly attentive and made sure everything ran smoothly, helping to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our celebration. The food was absolutely delicious, with every dish prepared to a high standard and enjoyed by all our guests. Everything felt well-organized, and the team went above and beyond to make the occasion feel special. Overall, everything was perfect, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such an important moment. We would definitely return and highly recommend it to others.”

  “Ordered the family platter for my family and I on uber eats and we really enjoyed it! The meat was so tender and flavoursome. Only downfall was the one less than half filled tub of chilli sauce I received even after I call the restaurant and asked for extra chilli sauce and was told I would get it but I didn’t. Definitely will order again! Please more chilli sauce next time it’s so good!”

  “Nice Restaurant. Ayesha' looked after our table very well. Thanks to her and rest of the team. Will go back there again. Only thing let us down is online menu is not up-to-date. From the sharing platter we wanted to have 'Loyalty Special' but been told they do not do it. And this one was not available on the Paper menu card. Soft drinks are bit overpriced. Cappuccino was cheaper than small bottle of water.”

  “I had a really lovely experience at Gunes Restaurant, and a big part of that was thanks to Ayesha’s service. She was warm, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout the meal. She checked in at the perfect times without being intrusive and handled everything with a genuine smile, which made the whole experience feel welcoming and relaxed. The environment of the restaurant is just as impressive—clean, cosy, and beautifully set up with a nice balance of lively atmosphere and comfort. It’s the kind of place where you can enjoy both a casual meal and a special outing. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious. The flavours were rich and authentic, and everything came out fresh and well-presented. The grilled dishes in particular stood out—they were perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavour. Definitely some of the best food I’ve had in a while. Overall, great service, great atmosphere, and amazing food. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily come back again! Thank you Ayesha”

  “Lived in Walthamstow for 4 years and this was our first visit. We now wished we'd been a lot sooner! The food was great. There was complimentary tzatiki, salad and warm bread to start. The mixed grills are amazing and very filling! Our server (Toor) was very friendly and really looked after us. We'll definitely be back again soon!”

  “It's a place we've been coming to for a long time. We love Turkish breakfast. We come almost every week. They've never compromised on quality. We definitely recommend you try it. The staff are also very friendly. Birsen Hanım and Ayşe Hanım, in particular, are very attentive.”

  “We had a wonderful experience enjoying a traditional Turkish meal here. The food was beautifully prepared and full of flavor, with the lamb chops standing out as tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The calamari was another highlight as it was fresh, perfectly cooked, and not at all greasy or chewy. What really made the evening special was the service. Aysha, our server, was attentive, friendly, and professional throughout the meal, making sure everything was just right. Her warm hospitality truly enhanced the experience. Overall, fantastic food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend this place.”

  “I’ve been to many Turkish restaurants but this is No1 for food quality. The meat is hard to beat must be tried. Ayesha served us today and was extremely attentive, smiley and professional & we even got a complimentary dessert. Great food, relaxed, nice low level music and lighting too. Highly recommended for visitors of SOHO theatre Gunes is 3 minutes from the local tube.”
