Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the parathas, with the aloo paratha described as soft, flavourful and comforting, and the kebabs close behind, including a juicy, well-seasoned kebab roll and chicken and lamb kebabs. Curries come up as spicy and well seasoned, one reviewer praising a lamb and chickpea curry, and others mention biryani, jalebi, rice pudding and masala tea. Many describe the staff as warm and welcoming, and several say the owner or chef brought out complimentary pakoras with mint sauce. A few mention the downstairs function room as a spot for large groups. The negatives are specific. One reviewer found the aloo paratha nearly empty of potato, was told the filling had run out, and called the zarda stale and the tea like under-brewed tea bags, and also reported being told that asking for basic items was "creating extra work". Another says a peri peri tikka burger meal arrived as what looked like a frozen chicken nugget burger, and that a 50p card charge was only revealed after paying. That reviewer's refund request ended the visit.

“I would kindly request people to leave honest reviews rather than giving 5 star ratings without a genuine reason, as misleading reviews can cause other customers to waste their time and money. Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was very disappointing. We ordered several items, including Daal Mash, Aloo Palak, Chana curry, parathas, tea, zarda, and gulab jamun, and the total bill came to £59, which felt excessively expensive for the quality and quantity of food served. Many of the curry portions were priced at £8 each, whereas similar dishes are commonly available elsewhere for £6,£7.The food quality was poor overall. The Aloo Paratha had virtually no potato filling inside and was essentially a plain paratha. When we mentioned this, we were told the filling had run out, which explained why there was hardly any filling to begin with. The Daal Mash and other dishes were average at best, while the zarda appeared stale and dry, with rice that did not taste fresh. The tea was also disappointing and tasted like under brewed tea bags mixed with milk rather than properly prepared chai. Charging £3 per cup for tea made it even harder to justify. The biggest issue, however, was the customer service. When we requested a few basic items, we were told that we were “creating extra work” and were asked to collect things ourselves. This attitude was unprofessional and made us feel unwelcome as paying customers.Based on our experience, the high Google rating does not reflect the quality of food or service we received. We left feeling disappointed by both the food and the customer service, especially considering the amount we paid. I would not recommend this place unless significant improvements are made.”
