About Elysee
Elysee is a Greek restaurant at 13 Percy St in London, and it first opened in 1936 as London's original Greek restaurant. The kitchen cooks with Greek extra virgin olive oil and imported Greek produce. The menu includes grilled king prawns, halloumi, and taramasalata served with warm pita bread. A cocktail bar runs alongside the dining room, and shisha comes in flavours such as iced apple and iced blueberry. Live singers and a music and entertainment programme fill the evenings, and plate smashing continues the Greek tradition. A private dining space serves groups who want a room of their own.

Customer Review Summary
Shisha is the most frequent draw. Reviewers describe it as smooth and richly flavoured, mention iced apple and iced blueberry, and several call it the best they have had in London, often enjoyed on the rooftop terrace. Close behind is the Greek food, with grilled prawns called tender and juicy, plus courgette fries, grilled halloumi, taramasalata with warm pita, chicken skewers, and a T-bone steak described as huge and perfectly grilled. Diners also single out the live music, the plate smashing that makes the night feel like a celebration, and friendly staff who never let a glass sit empty. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who found the food frozen, the prices too high, and the bill added up wrongly, saying cheaper Greek restaurants are better. Another acknowledges that some find it high priced but says the quality of the food and service justifies it. Even the critical review credits the singers as talented. One family closes their night on the melt in the middle chocolate dessert.

“DO NOT visit this place. Worst customer service, worst food, the list goes on. This place is a play ground for the owners off spring. They think they are the puppet masters and the customers are the puppets. This place is dingy and smoking is allowed inside!! Not a safe place for women, not a nice place to be. The food is freezer food from Iceland and tastes gone off. Also, extremely over priced, either everyone here has dyslexia or does not know how to add up. There are are way nicer GREEK restaurants for half the price The only good thing here are the singers, but thats not complementing the restaurant that is because they are talented. The council needs to close this place down”

“Absolutely fantastic experience! The atmosphere at this Greek restaurant is lively, welcoming, and perfect for a relaxed evening out. The food was outstanding, but the highlight for me was definitely the courgette fries 🫶🏼 hands down the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was fresh, authentic, and beautifully presented. Great service, amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent shisha. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Greek dining experience!”

“Have to say the Greek food here was delicious what a beautiful rooftop they have here even if it’s winter or summer you will love it. I visited and they had the heaters on which kept us lovely and warm. Staff couldn’t do enough 😊 I know some people say it’s high priced but you certainly get good quality food and service for this. The chicken skewers and the melt in the middle chocolate desert was my fav and highly recommend you get it as you won’t be disappointed. Went with my family and il be certainly coming back in the summer for drinks.”
