Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast draws the most repeat praise. One regular couple returns monthly for the beef roast with potatoes, root veg and Yorkshire pud, and another reviewer calls their roast exceptional. Close behind are the burgers, a cheese burger with a generous portion and an aged beef burger described as simple but executed perfectly, plus the sticky toffee pudding, which one diner calls one of the best they have ever had. Others single out the tomato salad, panna cotta, duck liver pate, Irish soda bread and a trout crudo with mustard sauce and blood orange. Service is described as friendly and attentive, including a waitress who recommended dishes suited to her table's preferences. Reviewers call the room cozy and romantic, and one mentions a comfortable booth. The one complaint is a fish pie with lobster bits that looked near perfect but arrived bland, in need of salt, pepper and garlic. One visitor on a first night in London enjoyed seeing locals with their cute pups throughout the dining room.

“Really nice pub food, but it honestly feels more like a nice restaurant. The presentation is great and everything we had tasted really good. Tomato salad is the best so refreshing ❤️🍅❤️. The panna cotta is so lovely .. The staff, especially the lady, were amazing — so friendly, always smiling and very helpful. It’s a local pub, but they definitely serve more than your usual pub food. Really enjoyed it here. 5 stars for sure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“One of my fave restaurants in Kensington. Regular attendee here with my husband for the Sunday Lunch where we go each month to enjoy the beef roast with potatoes which come with the classic root veg and Yorkshire pud, cooked consistently very well which is why we keep coming back! Nice to get some classic British cuisine as most of the time we consume international styles which London as so much choice of. Recommended if you like occasional British fare as we do!”

“Incredible. Every meal was wonderful. The front of house lady was bubbly, welcoming, and attentive. Great ambience/seating, and overall just a really enjoyable experience. Left feeling very content after eating a very delicious sticky toffee pudding. Definitely somewhere I’d return to and recommend to friends.”
