Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the high-energy atmosphere, with the music and DJ singled out repeatedly and the room described as loud, theatrical, and lively, well suited to birthdays. Close behind are the cocktails, called sharp, and the food, where one dessert lover praised the chocolate pizza and the tropézienne and another noted perfectly cooked proteins. Several describe friendly servers who offer recommendations. A few report rude door and reception staff, including one host who threatened to release a birthday table over a late guest. Others find the food and service poor for the cost, and the tables cramped, with neighbours standing on chairs. One reviewer disputes a bill for six that seemed light on portions, and another says a gin and tonic arrived without a straw yet carried a service charge. One diner's roast chicken was partly dropped during tableside carving, and the manager offered a bottle of wine instead, without an apology.

“Extremely disappointing experience – I would not return I visited this restaurant last Sunday to celebrate my friend’s son’s birthday, and unfortunately what should have been a special occasion turned into a very disappointing experience from start to finish. I arrived early and went to the bar while waiting for my friends. I ordered a gin and tonic, but the service was extremely poor. The woman serving me was rude and unfriendly. The drink was served without a straw, was not properly mixed, and had very little attention to presentation. I actually had to get up myself to find a straw. Despite this level of service, a service charge was added. The drink cost around £25 including the service charge, which I found completely unreasonable considering the experience. Unfortunately, things became even worse when we were seated. We were six people, but the amount of food served appeared to be the same quantity as a table of four nearby. We calmly raised this with the male manager, but instead of properly addressing our concern, we were told that we had received the correct amount. What was even more concerning was the bill. For six people, we received what appeared to be one steak and two plates of pasta, yet the bill was approximately £1,000. The quantity of food simply did not appear to match what we were being charged for. We therefore refused to pay the full amount because we genuinely did not believe the bill fairly reflected what had been provided. The attitude of some of the staff, including the reception staff and the manager, was extremely disappointing. We expected professionalism and a genuine attempt to resolve the issue, but instead we felt completely dismissed. I subsequently contacted the relevant local authority, who took my concerns seriously and informed me that the necessary steps had been taken. What is perhaps most disappointing is that more than a week has passed and nobody from the restaurant has contacted us to ask what happened, request further information or even acknowledge our complaint. This was supposed to be a birthday celebration, but unfortunately the experience completely ruined what should have been a happy occasion. I have attached a photo of the gin and tonic so people can see for themselves how it was served. For a restaurant charging these prices, I expected a much higher standard of hospitality. The service, attitude and handling of our concerns were simply not acceptable. ´´n”

“The service was a little wanting, particularly for such a large group of around 15. I felt that, overall, the service was slightly lacking, and the way dinner was served felt rather impersonal. There was very little sense of warmth or attentiveness, which made the experience feel more functional than hospitable. The tables are also very close together, which makes the whole experience feel rather cramped. If the table next to you decides to stand on their chairs while you’re eating, there’s obviously very little you can do about it. I can see how it might feel fun and lively in the South of France, but in a tightly packed London restaurant, I think the whole ‘standing on the chairs routine has become a little overdone and, dare I say, rather tired now. Of course, this is very much a matter of personal preference. I simply tend to choose restaurants where I know the service will be more polished and attentive. On this occasion, I was part of a larger group and this was the restaurant they had chosen, so perhaps it simply wasn’t quite my style.”

“OMG! I was beyond surprised in a good way with my experience here. It was my last night in town and a friend suggested I go here to close out my trip. I didn't eat. Just sat back and took in the vibe. I saw plates of food come out that looked delicious. The DJ was 🔥🔥🔥. The energy in the room was next level. The people, the staff, the energy was all top tier. I highly recommend checking out this place.”

“Dear Bagatelle Management Glad to be ur client for tonight. I rarely come across someone who combines professionalism, kindness, elegance and exceptional customer service the way she does. From the moment I arrived, she created a welcoming atmosphere with her warm smile, respectful attitude, and genuine attention to every detail. What truly stands out is that her beauty is not only in her appearance but also in the way she communicates and treats people. She has a natural ability to make guests feel comfortable, valued, and appreciated. Her confidence, courtesy, and dedication to providing outstanding service reflect a level of professionalism that is becoming increasingly rare. Employees like her leave a lasting impression and play a major role in making any dining experience memorable. She represents the restaurant in the best possible way and sets a remarkable standard for customer service. I sincerely appreciate her outstanding work and wish her continued success and recognition for the excellent service she consistently provides. With all respect thank you Mikela”
