Customer Review Summary
Attentive, welcoming service runs through most reviews, with waiters described as friendly and relaxed rather than formal. Food praise centers on starters and pasta. Reviewers repeatedly single out the zucchini fritters, also called zucchini frites, and one calls the gnocchi fromage the best they have had. Close behind are a perfectly cooked cacio e pepe, the spaghetti, the burrata and the sea bass. Others find the food tasty and well-prepared but nothing extremely wow. Mains draw the sharpest complaints. One group was disappointed with them after the starters, and another found the pasta a tiny portion and the pizza not piping hot. That reviewer also noted fewer seafood options than before, with the sea bass unavailable that day. One reviewer calls the furniture scruffy and worn and the bathrooms in need of an upgrade, and service can slow when the room is full. A group of twelve shared arancini, parmigianas and zucchini fries, and named those starters the highlight of the meal.

“I have never had a bad experience at Cecconi's Mayfair. From the charming and attentive waiters to the consistently incredible food, everything feels effortlessly special. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the people-watching is almost as entertaining as the dining itself.”

“One of my favourite restaurants. At the time of my visit, their kitchen was entirely nut free, making it very safe with a nut allergy. Food was delicious. Highly recommend.”

“Stopped by Cecconi’s while in Mayfair and had a really nice experience. The service stood out right away. Everyone was attentive, welcoming, and made the whole meal feel easy and relaxed without being too formal. Food wise, everything was really good. I ordered the cacio e pepe and it was cooked perfectly. Simple dish, but when it’s done right, it really hits. The drinks were also great and ended up being the perfect start before walking around the neighborhood afterward. Overall, just a really solid Italian spot in a beautiful part of London.”

“I had an absolutely amazing experience at this restaurant! The food was outstanding—especially the spaghetti, which was so delicious, and the burrata was truly incredible. But what made the experience even better was Carolina, who served me. Her service was exceptional—so kind, warm, and professional. She really made us feel welcomed and valued. I can’t wait to come back!”

“Great place with a good variety on the menu. The food is tasty — nothing extremely “wow,” but definitely enjoyable and well-prepared. The service is excellent: very attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout! It was a pleasure to visit this restaurant. You can sit both inside and on the terrace, which is a nice option. Overall, it’s very cozy with a lovely atmosphere.”
