Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the gamopilafo, the shredded chicken and lamb dish cooked in broth with buttery, risotto-like rice, described by one diner as reminding them of meals in the Cretan mountains. Close behind, dishes like the beef tartare, stone sea bass, Dakos, Lamb Carpaccio, and Cretan pot salad draw repeated praise for freshness and flavor, and the chestnut stifado and croquettes also earn mentions, with one reviewer noting the lamb is halal. Several describe the wine list as extensive and the service as warm and attentive, though one notes wine glasses could have been topped up more frequently. One reviewer found the lamb slightly dry despite still enjoying it, while another had a more negative visit, calling the food oily, the octopus too salty, the beef cheeks gristly, and the lamb dry, though they still noted the server was nice. Diners describe returning specifically for the food.

“Best value for money Greek restaurant in London. The food quality is honestly great! The lamb was well seasoned and cooked beautifully, really tender. The Cretan pot salad was full of flavour, and honestly every dish we had was great. The wine was really good too and the service was attentive throughout without being over the top. A really enjoyable evening. We'll definitely be back.”

“We had such a brilliant meal here. The menu is full of proper, traditional Cretan food cooked with real love. We started with the snails in an incredible umami sauce, a gorgeous Cretan pot salad, boureki, and a beef tartare that was honestly one of the best we’ve ever had. The kantaifi nest was high‑end take on saganaki. The gamopilafo was the standout, shredded chicken and lamb cooked in broth with buttery, risotto‑like rice, easily one of the tastiest Greek dishes I’ve had, and it genuinely reminded me of meals in the Cretan mountains. The mutton kebabs and tsigariasto lamb were unbelievably tender, and the spring greens were cooked perfectly. We finished with a hot sweet milk pudding that reminded me of an egg custard. Great cocktails, good wine, quick and friendly service, and a lovely atmosphere, but the food is the real star. If you love traditional dishes cooked to a seriously high standard, this place is absolutely worth it. Would recommend and will be returning 😊”
