“First time visiting Tips & Toes and left very happy with my nails! Amy did a flawless job on my gel manicure which lasted 3 weeks. My pedicure was also good, although the sides were not painted properly which annoys me but will make sure to mention this during the pedicure next time. The salon itself is nothing fancy and cleanliness of the tools is questionable, but can’t beat £61 for a manipedi in London!”

“nails are good but the wait time is ridiculous, they make up prices on the spot. Couple weeks ago it was £40-£43 for stiletto, now its £50. Genuinely make up prices on the spot. Begin to rush the nails when they see more customers, i get told 15 mins wait and i was made to wait 1 hour and 20 mins”

“The place is so unsanitary & dusty.. i felt so rushed as well! My nail was filed very aggressively and was left sore and red afterwards.. horrible.. for the service & price doesnt add up”

“I’ve been going to tips and toes for many years but their quality has steadily declined while their prices have increased. What is most frustrating are their wait times. I was told 15-20 minute wait and ended waiting 1hr 30 before i was even in a chair. They really need a better system if they know they will get busy. I would rather be turned away or told upfront about the wait time than lied to. The sheer popularity also means that they often rush jobs. My pedicure was subpar with my feet not feeling soft and my french tip was quite bumpy, not the best i have received from them. This is my local shop hence why I’ve been going for many years but i think now is a good time to move to a different shop.”

“don’t know how they charged me £70 it cost 20£ to take off acrylic an shellac apparently never going to them again i feel this woman robbed me, she was even watching me the whole time the owner i’m gonna stick to my usual place and the gel they did even looks so bad, lastly the audacity for the owner to say you pay £2 extra when you pay by card for next time, that place is never seeing me again no thank you”

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers split sharply over nail work, with shape the detail raised most. Happy customers describe BIAB on natural nails and a full acrylic set finished in the exact nude pink and the shape they wanted. They call the staff friendly and polite and say the results lasted without chipping or lifting. Several long-time regulars say they would trust no other salon, and one first-time walk-in was served immediately and left with a loyalty card. Critics describe the opposite: rushed filing that hurt, uneven or flat shapes, bumpy gel, and a rough matte gel finish. Some had to ask for a repaint or more trimming, and one pedicure customer says the technician was about to layer shellac over old polish until they spoke up. Long waits recur, including after being quoted a short one and even with a booking, and some describe being rushed out of the chair before their nails had dried. One reviewer reports a technician cut deeper into the cuticle while trying to fix a mistake. Others object to a surcharge for paying by bank transfer or card.
