Quick info
About Sushimania Golders Green
On Golders Green Road, Sushimania Golders Green is a Japanese restaurant built around an all-you-can-eat buffet of sushi, sashimi, and hot dishes including fried and boiled items. Tempura king prawn and sashimi salmon appear among the buffet selections, while sauces such as the sweet red accompaniment to prawn tempura are charged separately. Chicken and beef skewers round out the format, and diners can also order from an à la carte menu offered at half price alongside the buffet, an option for those wanting to order rather than eat freely from the spread. The ramen list includes char siu miso ramen and chicken miso ramen, alongside chicken gyoza, and the speciality rolls carry a generous portion of rice. The interior has been refurbished.

Customer Review Summary
The bottomless all-you-can-eat buffet is the central draw, with reviewers returning for years and calling it a family favourite, several praising it as a great price for unlimited food. Close behind, the sashimi draws consistent praise, with reviewers calling the salmon sashimi impressive and one saying the sashimi alone is worth it. Others highlight the char siu miso ramen, chicken gyoza starter, and pumpkin korroke as standouts, alongside fried salmon in teriyaki sauce. Complaints recur around freshness and value: one reviewer describes sushi rice as hard and dry, and had to send back the prawn tempura twice for being fried in old, darkish oil, also finding the oyster tempura not fresh. Another notes speciality rolls padded with too much rice, skewers as just okay, and extra charges for teriyaki and other sauces. Despite this, most describe staff as friendly and left full and satisfied, with several citing a half-price dine-in offer as good value.

“A bit bland, but overall a pretty good lunch option.”

“What I can say is that, in general, the "you can eat as much as possible" option is worth it. There's a variety of dishes, both in the sushi and in the food section, which includes fried, boiled, and other items. The sushi isn't bad, but it's not terribly delicious either. The pieces are large and have more rice, and the nigiri is no different; it also has a lot of rice, and the teriyaki sauce is charged separately at £2.20, as are other sauces like that sweet red sauce that comes with the prawn tempura, and so on. I think it's very wrong; it's like eating a hamburger and having to pay extra for mayonnaise and ketchup... What I liked most was the fried salmon; it's tender, well-cooked, and has a teriyaki sauce at the end. This teriyaki is slightly different from the teriyaki in sushi, which is denser and thicker, while the salmon is quite watery... In the skewers, I felt something overpowering the flavor of the meats because I tasted the oil mixed with other fried flavors; it wasn't good for me, I didn't like the skewers because of that. But as I said, in general it's worth going, however it's not something you can do every week because the incredibly delicious flavor will make you want to be there every week, maybe once a month or once every two months... I almost forgot, the sashimi is very well served, it was the best item chosen, it's a shame the sushi doesn't match the excellence of the sashimi.”

“Hard to find a good Japanese buffet(All you can eat) in UK. We got an amazing experience and full belly here. Specially the tempura king prawn and sashimi salmon are impressive.”

“Sushi Mania Holders Green was the first place my wife and I visited for lunch in London after arriving from Glasgow, and it did not disappoint. They had an all-day half-price deal, which was a pleasant surprise. I ordered the char siu miso ramen, and my wife had the chicken miso ramen. We also shared a chicken gyoza starter. The food was excellent—flavourful and perfectly prepared. The service was fantastic, with very friendly staff who made us feel welcome. Overall, we were really impressed with the quality of the food and the attentiveness of the team. Highly recommended!”

“I thought the service here was wonderful and the manager is very friendly and welcoming. The speciality rolls were made with a bit too much rice which made it a bit difficult to eat in one bite but still tasty nonetheless! I’d highly recommend the pumpkin korroke. I’d love to see an updated allergen sheet for desserts as the vegan passion fruit Mochi wasn’t listed on there”
