  “I am so happy to have landed myself in this salon! Silja made my hair perfect & I also had great fun during my appointment, and I was glad to be able to come in the midst of my busy working week having not entirely planned what I was looking for yet achieving exactly what I needed with my hair. Layla also had a very professional touch to her work and was incredibly kind and attentive. The team at ELK brings such a friendly neighbourhood atmosphere to the salon, yet their expertise is also clearly something people return for time and again. If you're up for having your hair fix while enjoying good coffee (or wine!) and conversation, this is the place :)”

  “I’ve had my hair cut and coloured by Elvinas three times now and will always come back to Elk to get a refresh. Elvinas took the time to listen to what I wanted on my first consultation and made me feel comfortable and excited about colouring my hair for the first time, talking me through the process and making suggestions as to what would suit me. Definitely recommend!”

  “I have been coming to Elk Hair Bar since they opened as the best hair salon and concept store in North London/Primrose Hill after having had Elvinas as my fabulous hairdresser for over 10 years. He knows exactly what to do with particular hair, from cuts, highlights and styling. The salon is impeccably designed, comfortable and offers delicious, artisan food and a selection of biodynamic wines. The vibe is always fun, with friendly staff and good banter, and l leave looking and feeling fantastic.”

  “Today was my first visit here and it will not be my last! I don’t write reviews often, but this was the best salon experience I have had in London to date. Elvanis was incredible - listened to everything I said I wanted and delivered above and beyond. Unlike other salons where you are passed off from individual to individual for shampooing, mixing color, etc…Elvanis handles everything himself and you could not be in more capable or caring hands. The salon also has a wonderful vibe - small coffee shop which serves food and fantastic drinks, the hair salon, plus Fern Skin clinic (my next visit). Everyone was friendly and welcoming. Not to mention it is incredible value for the level of competency and service you receive. I am already booking my next appt!”

  “I recently had my hair cut and highlighted by Silja. She took the time to discuss what I wanted and supported figuring out what would work best for me based on a picture I had as a reference. This was a big transformation going from a very long hair to short (right below jaw) and I couldn’t be happier with the result 😍 I love the cut as well as the color (highlights with toner). I felt comfortable and relaxed throughout the appointment - from the first sip of my complimentary latte to the final blow dry. Silja is such a caring and wonderful person, and amazing at what she does. I would highly recommend her and can’t wait to go back to see what we’ll do with my hair next ✨🦋😊”
