  “I have been travelling an 8-hour round trip every 6–8 weeks for over 15 years to maintain my highlights with Ellie, a colourist at Daniel Galvin. Quite simply, I would not trust anyone else. Her work is in a completely different league. The precision with which she places each individual strand is extraordinary—this is not the commonly seen, heavy-handed, painted-on “stripe” effect that so many salons produce. Those methods often result in what looks like a full head colour, weakening the hair and lacking true longevity. I wouldn’t even consider them real highlights. Ellie’s approach is rooted in authentic, traditional technique—delicate, intentional placement that enhances the hair naturally, exactly as highlights were originally meant to be. “Her highlights don’t grow out—they evolve.” No harsh lines. No obvious regrowth. Just a seamless, natural blend that looks as beautiful weeks later as it does on the day it’s done. She carefully considers how you wear your hair day to day, ensuring every placement works with your natural movement and parting. The result is luminous dimension that mimics how sunlight would naturally lift the hair. Her understanding of tone is exceptional. There are no unwanted yellow, green, orange, or overly white hues—so there’s no need for harsh corrective toners. She gets the colour right from the start.
