Customer Review Summary

Handmade dumplings draw the most praise, with reviewers naming pork and lamb, chicken and Chinese leaf, and pork with prawn and Chinese chive, and calling them fresh and flavoursome. Close behind is the Taiwanese braised pork, which two reviewers say was done perfectly, one comparing it to cooking from childhood. Char siu pork bau are described as rich and fluffy, and the rice and noodle dishes are called generous. The small menu is said to offer good variety, with sweet and sour in pork, duck, chicken or prawns. One reviewer singles out the Sichuan tofu and the tea egg, another found a tofu and rice dish still piping hot after arriving late, and the bubble fruit tea is called refreshing. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and prices as fair. The reservations are small: one reviewer found the flavours satisfying but felt some dishes could be more authentic, and another wished for a side of extra tofu. One diner was handed a Chinese boiled egg cooked in black tea as a gift.

“My father worked in Taiwan for many years, I’ve missed the taste of Taiwanese braised pork and finally I’ve found a spot that not only makes outrageously tasty food but also one that feels like cooking from my childhood. The staff are exceptionally friendly and always smile and make you feel welcome. What more could you ask for, this place is perfect, small but perfect. So grateful for the staff and them being here :)”

“I had the privilege to try their tofu and rice dish yesterday, had to order whilst on my commute because if I said the places i went that day you wouldn't believe.) Either way the staff was super accommodating even when i was a little later then planned the food was still piping hot, and very very very delicious. Taste like something i would make, which is a very high standard especially when you just need a quick bite on a budget at that. Overall can't praise how well worth the money it was good portion size - maybe the option to order a side of extra tofu (just a thought) it was so good i wanted seconds:) if am ever back in the area and having 2!!!! 🙏”
