  “Place was lovely. Lovely little niche place with an authentic Japanese menu. I am especially a fan of their traditional matcha latte and crepe cake! The atmosphere was so nice with the false cherry blossoms on the ceiling.”

  “Went there at night to grab a quick coffee before our event starts. There was 1 table of customer only not busy at all. I was thinking what to get ( not in the way of anyone). The male staff member gave me a blunt and unwelcoming tone “you ready to order?” So I ordered. The male staff member was playing with the female staff member while she was making my order. Finally got my drink it was blank and lukewarm. Can only taste milk. Not up to standard. Both of them are not professional baristas and they do not like serving customers. Not coming back.”

  “I ordered matcha cheesecake And cappuccino on today. I was surprised the cheesecake is better than i thinking Before Actually! Creamy little dense And taste a little bitter not too sweet! I really love it! The staff not as the other reviewers said that a bad service and attitude. Or maybe i was lucky met the good people? Anyway not bad. Enough space for the customer to seat in. I probably will be there to try different cake in the next time! The cafe is so cold inside... I ordered montblanc and Sesame cake. It tastes good, Not bad. And Not special. The hojicha hot chocolate really good. Smoothly And really matchable with chocolate. warmful during the cold day after have a drink. A little disappointed why my fav matcha basque cheesecake Becomes more Smaller than before!?”

  “Its an authentic Japanese tea and coffee shop on the north end of Brick lane near Boxpark and Rich Mix Cinema just by the bagel shops. It's a moody dark and traditional looking shop, with dark wooden tones and antique furniture pieces. I heard they do very good matcha soft serve ice cream however when we went that was sold out. We had matcha with soy (they do not have coconut milk) and an iced matcha. Ice is charged at 15p and alternative milks (soy, almond, oat) charged at 40p extra. They do ceremonial grade matcha and other teas which i m planning on trying next time. they have a few tables upstairs and 3 big booths at the back. there is a downstairs bit too, which was closed when we were there. Service was on the slower side. They only take card payments.”

  “I recently visited a Japanese cafe located on Brick Lane, about a 10-min walk from the Overground station. I've been to their other branches in Angel and Covent Garden several times, and my experiences were quite pleasant. However, my visit to this Brick Lane branch was disappointing. The staff seemed relatively new, and the order-taking process was slow, leading to a crowded counter. The male staff member responsible for taking orders was rather impolite. I ordered an Iced Strawberry Matcha and a Matcha Croffle with Matcha ice cream. The cafe had a cozy yet chaotic atmosphere, but I noticed that all the tables were uncleaned. The wait time for my food was excessive, and my buzzer never went off. When I checked the counter, I found that my Matcha Croffle with Matcha ice cream had already been prepared, but my drink seemed to have been overlooked, which explained the delay in notification. The ice cream on top of the croffle had already melted halfway, and the croffle itself was clearly overcooked…! The so-called "ice cream" tasted more like a slushy. As for the Iced Strawberry Matcha, it was just a standard matcha with a hint of strawberry syrup…very average. Overall, my experience at this cafe was quite disappointing, and I don't think I'll be returning.”
