Customer Review Summary

Most reviewers come for a place to work on a laptop, praising the seating, the lighting, the quiet and the views over the Liverpool Street area. Coffee comes close behind, with one reviewer calling an iced black Americano good value and another describing a flat white as the first really good coffee of a long trip. Several also mention the chocolate brownie, which one notes is gluten free, and a cinnamon swirl described as insanely good. Reviewers describe the staff as friendly and warm, and one recounts a barista remaking an oat-milk drink from scratch with a smile after a customer questioned it. Several say it suits informal meetings. The recurring complaint is connectivity: one reviewer found Instagram and a Mac Mail app would not connect even though general browsing and a work call went fine, and another says the internet could be better, though a third calls the WiFi fast. One reviewer found it a bit hot inside. A dog owner notes a form must be sent to the reception team first.

“Before ordering my food, I watched the barista (Bonnie) prepare an oat-milk coffee for a young gentleman. The gentleman questioned whether she had used oat milk or not (she certainly had) and she immediately offered to remake the drink from scratch, all whilst smiling. My Dad and I have been travelling for nearly 4 weeks, and the flat white she prepared for him was his ‘first ACTUALLY good coffee’ since leaving Australia. We are very pleased with the service, food, and atmosphere of BloomsYard cafe. If we didn’t live across the world, we would be returning frequently!”

“BloomsYard is one of the better laptop-friendly cafés I've come across around Liverpool Street. Tucked into one of the many office buildings surrounding the station, it feels purpose-built for remote workers, meetings, and people looking to spend a few productive hours away from the office. The setup is excellent. There are plenty of tables, comfortable seating options, and enough space that you don't feel rushed or squeezed in, even during busier periods. It's the kind of environment where you can happily settle in with a laptop and work for most of the day. The coffee is another pleasant surprise. An iced black Americano at £3.20 is genuinely hard to beat in London, especially in such a central location. The espresso profile leans towards the darker end of the spectrum, with pronounced chocolate and nut notes, very mild acidity, and a balanced finish. Not the most complex cup you'll find, but certainly well executed and very easy to drink. My only real issue was the wifi. General web browsing worked perfectly, WhatsApp was fine, and I even completed a work call without any problems. However, a number of apps simply wouldn't connect. Instagram, certain social media platforms, and even my Mac Mail app couldn't get online despite the internet otherwise working normally. It was a strange experience and not something I've encountered often. For many people this probably won't matter, but if you're planning a longer work session and rely on email clients or specific apps, it's worth being aware of before settling in. Overall, it's a beautiful space with a strong hospitality offering, good value coffee, and one of the best work-friendly setups in the area. I'd happily return, although next time I'd come prepared for the possibility of being partially offline.”

“I'm super impressed with BloomsYard. Such a wonderful place. Nice and quiet atmosphere, nice drinks (great coffee!) and great infrastructure for working/bringing your laptop. Staff was lovely also. I almost don't want to leave this review so it doesn't get recommended too much and get too busy :D Joking... Can highly recommend the place and will 100% be back as well. It's fantastic!”

“I came to this place with my friends for the first time and honestly enjoyed it. I'd already had a cup of coffee before coming, so I didn't get to taste theirs, but I did enjoy the hot chocolate and the cinnamon swirl. The swirl was insanely good, I would highly recommend it. The seating area is large with comfy chairs and a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere and a stunning view (image attached). The pricing is also great. My only complaint is that it was a bit hot inside, which kind of affected the experience.”
