About The Pineapple
The Pineapple is a pub in London, on the residential streets behind Kentish Town, at 51 Leverton St, in a Victorian building dating from 1868. A changing list of real ales sits alongside a small Thai menu that follows the restaurant format, with green curry, garlic chicken stir fry and corn cakes among the dishes. Drinkers gather at a small bar ringed with stools, where the staff keep track of service by asking who is next. Diners can eat in the conservatory at the back, and a private dining room gives groups a space of their own. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come back to the Thai food, singling out the green curry, corn cakes and garlic chicken stir fry, and a small, fairly priced menu that arrives quickly. Close behind is the fish and chips, which one vegetarian visitor ordered on holiday and loved. The back garden, conservatory and covered patio get repeated praise, along with a good beer selection and well kept real ales. Reviewers describe a cosy, community-minded pub with fireplaces and Christmas trees, and one calls it a little grubby but trendy. The main complaint is service and space. One regular says the bar is tiny, crowded with stools, and that the bar staff were clueless on each of three visits, repeatedly having to ask who was next. Another calls service a bit meh, while a third notes the mixed starter gave only one piece of each item. Others, though, mention a bartender who explained local pub rules to a visitor from Austria, and bar staff who kept track of who was next.

“Smashing pub Nice sunny day. It was busy but very little wait time and bar staff that noted who was next to be served Really lovely beer garden out back, very comfortable Food was spot on, not complicated but very tasty and came very quickly Go ahead and enjoy yourself”

“Lovely snug-feeling, community centred little CAMRA pub, full of younger and older locals, and young families. Dog friendly. Often have group bookings. Back yard is a good-size with tables and heaters, and mostly-covered. Conservatory also. Nice tables out front. Maybe upstairs rooms, not sure...”

“The Pineapple is a proper wee pub with bags of character and a wonderfully easy-going atmosphere. I popped in for a quiet pint and ended up staying for the craic, which is always the mark of a good house. The staff were warm, sharp as a tack, and had that rare knack for making you feel like a regular on your first visit. It’s the sort of place I’d happily use for a relaxed catch-up with mates, a post-work wind-down, or a lazy Sunday session when you fancy good company and no fuss. The drinks were well kept, the place had a lived-in charm without feeling rough round the edges, and the whole experience felt honest and welcoming. If you’re after a pub with proper personality and none of the nonsense, The Pineapple is spot on. Five stars all day.”

“I've been here three times now and held off posting a review until now. It's a lovely pub with lots of character - great beer garden, good range of well conditioned real ales and fantastic Thai food. BUT... the bar is tiny, there are too many stools around it which make the space to order drinks very narrow, and to exacerbate this the bar staff have pretty much all been clueless each time I've visited. If you're having to ask "Who's next ?" more than once a shift I'm afraid you don't know how to do your job 🙈”

“A buzzy hipster pub, down at heel indoors but in a trendy way. A bit grubby but in a trendy way. Nice garden area. Quite studenty except the prices which are normal London prices. A quirky pub which will work for some people but less so for others. Service was a bit meh.”
