Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is the most repeated draw, described as juicy, generous, tasty and hot, with one diner noting their dietary requests were accommodated and another pointing out a family roast option for four to six people. Close behind are the quiz nights, which one visitor called a highlight of their trip, and the drinks, from keg and cask lines and a few real ales to a good wine list. Reviewers also mention a friendly, homely room with a flickering fire, the pub's dogs, and outside seating at the front and rear. A Thursday special of steak and moules frites earns praise too, along with chorizo stuffed bacon wrapped dates. The main complaints concern the kitchen. One reviewer found it closed on quiz night, and another says food was unavailable for a few weeks while a new chef started. One found the floor very slippery, and another felt patrons were expected to drink and stay seated. On the closed kitchen night, a delivery arrangement with Yard Sale filled the gap.

“Lovely to have outside seating in both the front and rear of the pub - garden is pretty secluded and lots of room for the size of it. Plenty of drinks, a few real ales on tap, service was good. Good location round the corner from Kentish Town Forum, especially for when the other more famous local pub is full, or out of beer.”

“Amazingly delicious Sunday roast, reasonably priced. Beers on tap are always fresh and cold and the selection of wine is good. Friendly staff and nice music. A perfect Sunday roast experience.”

“Atmosphere is quite enjoyable, Music not too Loud, there is Quizz night hosted by a Local. Food not available for a few weeks, New Chef started. 🐢 🐕 there is always a nice tree for Christmas 😂 Unfortunately, they expect you to drink and sit still on your table.”

“I’ve been here a couple times. Seems nice enough but never been blown away. It’s a lovely place. Nice cozy vibe. But I don’t really remember anything else from my first time. So when I was asked to come for a pub quiz I was excited. The floor is very slippery. Not wet. Like there’s some kind of oil. But, maybe my shoes just got it on them from under a table that wasn’t cleaned well and then I became the one tracking it around. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed on the night I came. But they had a deal with yard sale to deliver which was nice enough.”
