  “Unfortunately, I come here quite a lot but just for drinks, tonight I thought it would be nice to have a burger with my friend. His food came, and he finished it, 50 minutes later my burger arrived. It was okay but I was quite disappointed to see quite over cooked burger patties which wwere dry and a stale bun, which made for an unenjoyable experience. I think when food is given to the wrong customer then has a huge delay it would be appreciated to be offered something in compensation for the experience, a free dessert or something would really have been a nice touch.”

  “Our favourite local pub, hands down. The food & service never disappoint and regardless of the reason for hanging out there, it's our favourite spot. We also recently had our wedding party there and the team went above and beyond to ensure we had the best evening - which we did. Special thanks for making our day even more special!”

  “We booked a space here for a 40th bday and really enjoyed our visit. The decor and vibe is lovely and staff were really helpful and very patient with the children attending. The only issues were, it wasn't clear which part of the pub we had booked out as there were no reserved signs and we had to ask for these. Also, there was both music and football on in the area we had booked which made it very noisy. I would definitely visit again though for drinks and really appreciated the staff service.”

  “Great service and perfect Sunday Roast chill pub. Great selection of hand pull ales as well usual gin collections...not to mention cocktails. Small menu but everything was cooked with care and tasty. Keep up the great work”

  “Highly recommended. The selection of craft beers is excellent; all the ones I tried were delicious and well served. The food also surprised me in a good way. The Korean wings are a must, very tasty and with a spectacular sauce. And the sticky toffee pudding for dessert was incredible, one of the best I've ever had. Without a doubt, a perfect place to enjoy good beer and very good food. I would go back without hesitation!”

  “Great pub. Food is lovely - best Sunday roast in the area, and Monday burgers are superb value. Large venue suitable for big groups (I had a 40 person party here last year and we only filled one corner!) Outside terrace/garden is also big with plenty of booths and tables. Overall top pub!”

  “A really solid chicken Sunday roast. Proper hearty, no-nonsense food, exactly what you want from a Sunday roast. Super efficient service. Dog friendly too. A lovely bottle of red went hand in hand with the meal.”

  “Most of our roast lunches were pretty good. The turkey and chicken was cut a little thin and therefore had become quite dry. The beef was good and the chunk of pork belly too. The roast potatoes could have been cooked a little longer. All the veg still had good crunch to it. Service was attentive and friendly and the wine choices good too. We did enjoy our experience but I am not sure we would come back as I think there are better Sunday roasts out there especially the Princess of Wales in Clapton”

  “🚇 Clapton 🍺 £7.20 Brixton Pale Ale The Clapton Hart is located in the heart of Clapton next to Lea bridge roundabout. The nearest station is Clapton on the Weaver Line. This pub dates from 1722 and was originally known as The White Hart. It was re-built in the 1830s after burning down, then re-built in 1891. After a period of closure, the pub reopened in 2012 and is now run by Urban Pubs & Bars. There is small family connection to this pub. My Dad was a Relief Manager here for four weeks back in the early 1970’s. The Guv’nor at the time was attacked and hospitalised, Clapton was a very different place back then. The pub has been extensively refurbished last December, and the results are impressive. Its striking interior seamlessly blends traditional architecture with contemporary accents, showcasing features like a stained-glass vestibule, decorative fireplaces, elegant chandeliers, and a vaulted ceiling with an atrium illuminating the dining space. Cleverly designed intimate nooks add to the pub's character. A good-sized rear beer garden offers covered seating and a uniquely repurposed workman's bench table. The beer line up has a good mix of well known and locally brewed beers, and included two cask ales. I decided on a Brixton Pale Ale, my pint was excellent, price point was a tad high. The food menu is pub classics, Fish & Chips costs £17.50, roasts are available on Sunday’s. We arrived just after 12pm on overcast and warm Saturday lunchtime in April. The pub had just opened and was gearing up for the days trade. The atmosphere was chilled and relaxed with a couple of different groups plotted up in the beer garden. The service was first class, I had a brief chat with the Guv’nor and a couple of team members, all were chatty, friendly and good natured. Been meaning to check out this pub for years, mostly because of Dad’s stories about his time here. It's a really great-looking spot that delivers a solid London pub experience all around.
