Customer Review Summary
Fish and chips is the dish reviewers name most, described as hot, fresh and made to order, with the glazed ham, egg and chips close behind. Starters draw steady praise too, especially the scotch egg, along with crab on toast and seabass tartare. Sticky toffee pudding and the toffee cake come up as favorite finishes, and one reviewer who came for the Sunday Roast preferred the pork belly and lamb to the beef. Service is described as friendly, with good recommendations, and one family with a toddler and stroller was welcomed as walk-ins. The main complaint concerns mains: one reviewer found the burgers limp and the menu beyond the fish and chips unimpressive, and another called the mains more average than the starters. Two reviewers describe the pub as pricey, one citing a large service charge. One suggests booking ahead and sitting downstairs for conversation. Reviewers close on the birthday visit where the servers took special care of a returning American family.

“Hot, fresh, delicious Fish and Chips made to order. I saw a food influencer on IG reviewing this place and I came here based on his review. Glad I did. Exceptional service, wonderful staff and a very lovely, clean pub. I would definitely come back 10/10.”

“Beautiful place to dine in, but beware of mains! Right in the heart of Chelsea, you are surrounded by beautiful buildings and this is one in itself! The menu is small, with classic pub selections. Starters were good (especially the scotch egg), but other than the fish and chips, the main menu isn’t impressive and the food wasn’t all that impressive. I thought the burgers were a little limp, for what the food was worth, and nothing felt as if it matched the pub’s vibe. The desserts were really good, and they also show live football, so it is certainly worth coming here - but just be careful!”

“Phenomenal experience! The starters were exceptional, even though the mains were more average, while still good. We finished with the toffee cake and it was phenomenal. We really enjoyed our dinner here!”

“One of my favorite Gastro pubs in London! We come from the U.S. annually and always stop in. Our last visit was on my birthday and the servers took such special care of us!”

“Recommended by a friend, we came for the Sunday Roast. For our party of 4, we ordered the sharer for two, and supplemented with scotch eggs, crispy lamb, and a mushroom and onion pie. The food was absolutely fantastic. Although i enjoyed all the meats, I was surprised that I enjoyed their pork belly and lamb more than their beef. Had a cider and a mocktail. The whole family had a great time.”
