  “Having being privileged enough to be invited to my cousins wedding yesterday, this wonderful restaurant was where the reception was held.   “We had our wedding at Balfour on 4th July 2026. After a very challenging start with a team member leaving and taking all knowledge of our wedding with them, Raul and the team really stepped up. The previous person was very frustrating to work with but Raul taking over was the best thing that could have happened. He worked so hard in the build up and did a fantastic job on the day with Monika and the rest of the team. The venue looked amazing and our guests were so well taken care of. The food at the venue is incredible, the team are so talented. We are so happy with how the whole day went. Thank you everyone! All the best Andy and Reah”

  “We recently had our wedding reception at Balfour, and it was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Every single one of our guests commented on how beautiful the venue was, and the staff and servers were outstanding throughout the day and evening. They were so efficient, professional, and genuinely helpful, which made everything run seamlessly. A special thank you to Raul, who was incredibly helpful throughout the planning process. He was always accommodating, patient, and happy to answer the many questions I had in the lead-up to the wedding. His support gave us so much confidence that everything would come together perfectly. We opted for a standing menu, and it worked brilliantly. The chefs were incredibly flexible with any additions or changes we wanted to make and were always willing to accommodate our requests. The food itself was exceptional, and we received countless compliments from our guests throughout the evening. The team did a fantastic job serving the food to our guests, ensuring everyone was looked after and that service ran smoothly from beginning to end. We were married at Old Marylebone Town Hall before travelling to Balfour on a wedding bus, and looking back, we are so happy with our choice of venue. We had a saxophone player and DJ for the evening, and although I was initially concerned about the venue’s sound limiter, this is something that applies to many London wedding venues and it turned out not to be an issue at all. We still had an amazing party with fantastic music, great sound levels, and an incredible atmosphere that kept everyone dancing all night. If you’re worried about the sound limiter affecting your reception, from our experience there is absolutely no need to be. Thank you to Raul and the entire team for all of your hard work, care, and attention to detail in making our day so special. It was everything we hoped for and more. If you’re considering Balfour for your wedding, don’t hesitate. The venue, food, service, and overall experience exceeded all of our expectations, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough.”

  “I have to say it’s a very good pub here. But I give 2 stars because of one staff here(see picture) being super rude and racist. The rest of the team are very nice and friendly especially for one of the lady, except for this guy (otherwise I will be giving a 1 star).”

  “Went for lunch on a Thursday afternoon between 1pm and 2pm. The atmosphere was nice and quiet, but also had a few people in the pub. I found that i waited a while to be served as looked like there was some staffing issue, most drinks were not available as waiting for a delivery and also issues with the till. This was not expressed to customers directly though, only spoken amongst staff for customers to hear second hand. Once finally served and food was ordered, i was told that drinks would be brought over to the table. I ended up waiting almost 10 minutes for a pint of beer and a glass of wine which was a little bit of a let down to be honest. Food then arrived. It was pipping hot and brought out by a lady server who greeted us with a smile and an apologised for the scrappy service. The chicken burger with chips and coleslaw from the lunch time menu was absolutely delicious 10/10. The flavours of the coleslaw had a mild taste of mustard. The chips were seasoned to perfection with a nice crunch/crisps and the burger itself was really fulfilling. It was also i found to be a reasonable price considering the place where the pub is situated The service was a little bit of a let down, but the food definately made my review overall get a 5 star. I would reccomend this pub for anyone in the area”

  “I've been to the vineyard in Staplehurst so was happy to stumble across this place by accident. The Balfour lager is really good and my American work colleague loved the flight of English sparkling whites. I'll definitely be back as it was surprisingly well priced given it's location.”

Location is of course impeccable, but the space itself was absolutely beautiful and the food excellent and varied. Perfect for couples wanting a London wedding!”

  “We got married here in June 2023 and couldn't be happier with our venue choice. The entire planning process was very smooth due to the very helpful Matilda who was a huge help in making sure our wedding planning was stress-free and our day was perfect. The venue is the perfect location for a London wedding as the streets are very quiet at the weekends meaning our guests could all enjoy drinks outside and we could get some fantastic photos without hardly anyone around at all. The food was a stand out part of our day, with countless guests telling us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! The menu options are great and we could not fault the food at all. Overall we had a great experience at Balfour St Barts and could not recommend it enough as a wedding venue!”
