About Vivi
On Woolton Rd in Liverpool, Vivi is an Italian restaurant that serves its food tapas-style, in small plates. The whipped ricotta on focaccia comes with chilli jam or hot honey. The kitchen also cooks fish and seafood, including a crab and pistachio pasta, as well as monkfish and red king prawns. Cocktails are part of the offer, with a café amaretto on the list. The team brings fresh plates and cutlery after messier dishes. A lunch special menu runs alongside the main one.

Customer Review Summary
Small plates of Italian food are the draw, and the whipped ricotta comes up most, served on focaccia with chilli jam or with hot honey. Close behind is the monkfish, called simple and delicious in one review and praised as a monkfish pasta in another. Arancino appears in two forms, a leek and fontal version and a sweet citrus one with strawberry jam and sherbet. Diners also name the crab and pistachio pasta, red king prawns, braised barbecue cabbage, croquettes, filet steak and a juicy chicken thigh skewer. Dessert earns praise for the chocolate torta with amareno cherries, and one reviewer calls the cafe amaretto one of the better coffee liqueurs they have had. Regulars single out the cocktails too. Portions are described as generous, with seven dishes filling a party of three, and the weekday lunch special is called very good value. Staff are described as warm, friendly and attentive, and one reviewer notes that fresh plates and cutlery arrived after messier dishes and the table was wiped as well.

“This is our favourite local restaurant and we come several times per month. The food is exceptional and the service is warm and friendly. The lunch time special menu is very good value too. When we come on a Friday or a Saturday evening we always have a few cocktails as they are top notch and served beautifully. I’ve recommended this place to everyone I know.”

“Absolutely loved it - we've lived in Liverpool for 5 years and of all the 'fine dining' restaurants this was up there with the best of them. Properly delicious Italian food, particularly the fish and seafood (which isn't our normal go-to), including the Monkfish Melanese which was so simple and delicious, exactly as you would find in Italy itself. The staff gave really helpful recommendations on the food as well. We got 5 dishes between two of us and it was just right to squeeze in dessert too. Would highly recommend!”

“The most delicious lunch I’ve had in a long time! Service and people wonderful to boot! Honestly left feeling full, happy and ready to go back. Thank you Gabriella and all of your team Sean and the magicians in the kitchen! P.s no pictures because we ate it! Sorry ❤️”
