About Ninello's - Italian Restaurant
Ninello's is an Italian restaurant on Duke St in Liverpool, serving a menu that changes every month. Lunch, an all-day menu and aperitivo run alongside a fine dining Menu a Degustazione, which comes with curated wine pairings for diners who want the full tasting format. Starters include ragu arancini, and mains include seafood risotto. Cannoli are on the dessert list. The kitchen cooks homemade dishes in a traditional Italian style. At the bar, an Italian wine list sits beside cocktails such as a prosecco, Saint Germain and elderflower spritz. The restaurant opens Monday to Saturday and closes on Sundays. Inside, blue velvet banquette seating lines the room, and eye-shaped pendulum lighting hangs overhead.

Reviewers most often mention blanco e nero dessert, bruschetta, seafood risotto and ragu arancini.
Customer Review Summary
Diners most often point to the bruschette, from an avocado prawn version described as fresh and full of flavour to a mushroom and sausage one called sublime. Close behind is the bianco e nero dessert, a chocolate and cream profiterole, with cannoli and an apricot tart also praised as homemade. Mains named include a rich seafood risotto and a succulent rib eye with frites, and one reviewer singles out the ragu arancini as the star. Many call the food authentic, and some who travel often to Italy say it recalls a small family-run restaurant there. Service is described as friendly, professional and attentive, and the atmosphere as warm and relaxed, with a few calling it good for a date. The one criticism is a pasta dish that could have done with more seasoning. Several say the room fills up, with one reporting people being turned away, and they suggest booking ahead. One pair who stopped in for wine and small plates while shopping had already booked again for the following week to try more of the menu.

“Decent spot for a date, the ragu arancini was the star of the show for me, it was delicious. The pasta I ordered was quite nice but could’ve done with more seasoning. The service was really great however!”

“Been meaning to try this place for a while, so we stopped in yesterday while out shopping for a couple of glasses of wine and a few small plates. First impressions were spot on, proper authentic Italian feel, great food, and excellent wine. Good enough that we’ve already booked in again next week to try more of the menu.”

“Great experience eating at Ninello’s on Friday lunch while out shopping. Service was very good. Food was really good. Decor and surroundings were lovely. Cost was reasonable - total £75 including service charge which we happily paid. This included 2x wines and 2x beers so very good value. Highly recommend 5-*”
