About The Italian Club
The Italian Club is a family-owned, independently run Italian restaurant at 85 Bold St in Liverpool, serving the city since 2007. The kitchen is led by two chefs, one from Puglia and one from Sicily. An a la carte menu is paired with daily specials that follow local and seasonal availability. Pasta runs from Club Cannelloni to carbonara and lasagne, and the kitchen bakes its own bread, including focaccia. Tiramisu is on hand for dessert. The dining room has tall ceilings and artwork, with plenty of space between tables. A retail section by the dining area sells gifts.

Customer Review Summary
Pasta dishes lead the praise at this Bold Street trattoria, with reviewers singling out the Club Cannelloni, the Ravioli Ricotta E Spinaci Aurora and a lasagne topped with generous Parmesan. Close behind are the carbonara, the seabass with roasted potatoes, and a pizza one diner called the most authentic outside Italy. The freshly baked breads draw a recommendation to try the focaccia, while the tiramisu gets a mixed reception, beautiful to one diner and nothing special to another. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and attentive, food tends to arrive quickly, and several mention the ambiance, the tall ceilings and artwork, and good value. One diner says a few hours' notice for a table made all the difference on a busy night. The one sour note came from a regular who waited around 20 minutes to be served, met a cold tone from a waitress and refused to pay the service charge. Another party was helped to sneak in a birthday cake.

“Went in during lunch on a Saturday. The place was a little busy, but we were seated promptly. The service is quick. The food is GOOD. We ordered Club Cannelloni and Ravioli Ricotta E Spinaci Aurora for our mains. Both of the pasta dishes were absolutely delicious. For dessert we had the Tiramisu, which made for a beautiful end to our meal. Highly recommend this place.”

“I enjoyed the carbonara here! The tiramisu was nothing special. I like the tall ceilings and the artwork. It wasn’t too busy or noisy. The staff was friendly and the food was delivered quickly. There was a nice retail section for gifts.”

The menu offers a vast selection of authentic Italian dishes, all cooked to perfection with excellent quality ingredients. The service is fantastic – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A special mention goes to Julio, who went above and beyond to make our experience extra special. “The ethos of The Italian Club is to provide a place to enjoy for Italians, people of Italian descent and anyone that loves Italian food. Since our opening in 2007, our family owned and independently run ‘Trattoria’ has built up a reputation for delivering authentic Italian food, with friendly and helpful service, in truly ‘Italian’ surroundings. The ‘A La Carte’ menu offers an extensive choice of dishes, which are well complimented with a choice of daily ‘specials’, which reflect local and seasonal availability. Here at The Italian Club we have two wonderful chefs that lead our kitchen. Maurizio Pellegrini, from Puglia and our Martino Cusumano from Sicily. Both are passionate and committed to bringing you the best of Italian dishes. enjoy”
