Customer Review Summary

Most reviewers single out friendly, attentive servers, with one describing a packed dining room handled without slipping. The chicken and red pepper pizza comes up most among the food, with balsamic red onions praised, alongside the nduja bolognese, the afternoon tea, the sharing platter and a prawn and smoked salmon pasta. One diner suggests the nduja bolognese become a permanent menu item. Criticism centres on the kitchen and some front-of-house handling. One family describes very slow food and desserts, sparse toppings on large meat lovers pizzas and an undercooked gluten free base, while another found a very meaty calzone raw inside yet burnt outside. Two reviewers felt waiters ignored them after the main course, and one says a host was dismissive about a double buggy and fetching high chairs. A vegan diner found only one main course. One happy table left with leftover pizza boxed up by their server.

“I've been to serval Prezzos and the service has always been great, and food always exceeded expectations, however about a recent visit to the Chester oaks restaurant, this streak is now broken. We did have a table booked, as there were 3 adults and 3 children aged 2-8, I had specifically chosen Prezzos because I have the kids eat free subscription. Upon arrival the host/manager who greeted us was very dismissive, (the host that greeted us was the man with out glasses) we got seated at the table by the window under the stairs, this was a good choice with year olds twins at the table, we could keep an eye on them better, however he failed to acknowledge the fact the had a double wide buggy and didn't bother to check or ask if my friend could get through with it nor do anything help with the situation. I had to push the table aside myself so she could get through after the host had walked away. We also not expect to not be offered high chairs and have to go to the otherside of the restaurant to get 2 for ourselves whilst the same host sat a family with child of similar age and offered and fetched them their high chair personally. He did ask how many kids menus and sort out the crayons to keep them occupied, however he gave us the 3 big kids menu for ages 9-12, this menu is blue, he failed to ask clarifying questions to establish if we had the subscription and how our oldest child was (8yo), and which menu we would prefer as the website clearly stated they acknowledge all appetites are different and the small kids can be requested if it's more appropriate for older children. The waitress was lovely and doing her job well, and fetched us the correct orange little kids menu for 2-8yos, I can't fault her on her service given how busy it was, she was setting the example her manager should have been setting. The wait time on food was ridiculous, my partner is chef who spent years working in an Italian restaurant, and was thoroughly unimpressed by the service the kitchen provided, stating the wait times were unacceptable, the topping on our large meat lovers pizzas where sparce, and the 8 year olds gluten free pizza base was was under cooked in places. He is not one to go into a restaurant and announce his credentials, so did not make them aware he knew how to open and properly top a pizza and how long it should take in a busy restaurant as we were given no indication that they were short staffed in the kitchen to justify such a delay. It was over 2½hours we took from start to finish, with increasingly fussy children from being hungry. The dessert took the longest to come out, 1 child's Sunday and 1 strawberry sundae for an adult and doughballs, probably the easiest things in the menu. Long story very short, if the host had done his job properly in the first place and given his reason for any delay we might have in service, a better and more forgiving experience would have been had by us in general, however he needs training on customer service and maybe look to his staff for examples in what good looks like.”

“Prezzos was extremely busy tonight when me and my girlfriend came for our meal but our server Rachel was amazing. She was constantly on it even though the restaurant was packed and did an amazing job and went above and beyond. Thank you so much Rachel!”

“From the moment we stepped thru the door we were greeted by patrick who took us straight over to our table. We then met the wonderful Rachel who couldn't do enough for us. Rachel wanted us to have the best experience and we did!! After Rachel's recommendation to download the app to receive further offers. My husband and I are definitely going to be coming back. The Afternoon Tea was delicious. Thanks for making us feel so welcomed Rachel and Patrick.”

“Went here with our big boy Wilson (Rotweiler) who throughly enjoyed how nice the staff were to him. The food as always was great but the staff were exceptional and made the whole visit very memorable. A nice outdoor seating area made the visit strees free, combined with great hospitality. Makes this a place to come back more often.”
