“If you have an intolerance don't go to Pesto Widnes. We took our grandchildren today and we were so upset and disappointed. Myself and my Grandaugher are coeliac. My Grandaugher is newly diagnosed so not easy when you are 8 . The lovely waitress told us the menu has changed. We have never had a problem before and the food and service has always been great. We were handed the iPad which had the listed ingredients of all the dishes. This in itself was very overwhelming as it was in Italian so you had to look at normal menu to see what it was. The waitress Martha was so helpful and really tried her best to put a meal together for myself and my granddaughter but there really was very little safe gluten free food on this menu. Then the manager came and told the waitress we must sort it ourselves and the waitress couldn't help us. We asked for the Bill at that point and felt really upset especially for our Grandaugher. There only saving grace was they didn't charge us for the drinks. Martha you have served us before and have always been so helpful and lovely. Thank you for your help today we really appreciate it. Living with a food allergy is hard enough , we try to make it as normal as we can . Pesto you have failed miserably today. Keep hold of Martha she's amazing.”

“A family meal for 4 adults. We booked for 7pm, it was really busy when we arrived. Greeted at main entrance and taken to the table. Our Server was a lovely young lady called India. She informed us about the delay in the kitchen due to how busy it was. We ordered 14 tapas and a rack ribs. We did wait approx 45 minutes, but the food was amazing and definitely worth the wait. The service we received from India was nothing short of excellent. We will definitely be going back.”

“Went to Pesto Widnes for my birthday meal. Waited over an hour for food after being told there was a problem in the kitchen. Not asked if we needed more drinks during that time or even offered bread to put us on. Waiter seemed totally uninterested. After we had our main meal, we asked to see the dessert meal. Waiter walked past us several times with it in his hand. Eventually we managed to call another member of staff over to get a dessert menu. No-one came to get our dessert order so we stood up, paid our bill and left. I didn't want to leave a negative review without giving them a chance to respond. I sent 2 messages and have had no reply. Very very disappointed. Tried to leave this review in their Facebook page and it wouldn't let me.”
