  “Was the family go to for many years so thought I’d order and was really disappointed, got the set meal for 2 and didn’t even finish half of it, my girlfriend physically feels sick after eating and the beef in black bean sauce was so chewy and lacked flavour just tastes like a beef with gravy on top , the rice was really clumpy together, chips had hardly any potato in them and were that greasy the bag just ripped apart on what they came in, the spring rolls weren’t the best , sweet and sour chicken had a really bitter taste to it and again the meat was chewy. Overall I’m so disappointed and wouldn’t recommend, last time I will be ordering from here.”

  “First time had from here be last got duck with mushrooms more mushrooms than duck amd full of onions hardly any sauce got the mixed starter 13 99 not worth it at all ribs covered in sweet sour sauce 3 spring rolls 2 pieces dried prawn toast and 3 battered dried chicken balls”

  “Absolutely disgusted by the custom service of this place forgot the curry sauce to our order and then I rang them back up asking for it to be dropped off because the meal is not right with out it and ruins the full meal. they then replied with if they have to bring me a curry sauce back out they will never drop off to me ever again. trying to threaten me that they won’t drop off ever again if I don’t accept that they have forgotten the curry sauce. Me and my family Use this Chinese every week and are regular customers here. We will be taking our custom else where after this horrible experience not good enough at all.”

  “I’ve ordered from here twice since moving to Armley and this is genuinely one of the nicest Chinese takeaways I’ve had. Salt and chilli chips were phenomenal, fillet steak chow mein was lovely and so was the Cantonese duck. Both members of staff I’ve spoken to on the phone was lovely, delivery was quick and food arrived hot. Can’t fault them at all, thank you for a lovely meal”

  “Popped into China Chef for the first time tonight and certainly was a great decision. Firstly the owner is very friendly and makes an effort with you. Prices and portion size fantastic Food was even better. Thank you!”

  “Delivered in half an hour very fast. Ribs are BEAUTIFUL decent amount of meat. Chicken curry vv nice, crispy beef in hot and sour sauce unfortunately coated in some sort of sugar syrup? Spring rolls lovely, prawn crackers lovely, chicken kung po lovely spice but again a little sweet for me. Chow mein absolutely gorgeous. Bamboo shoots and water chestnuts are amazing. Egg fried rice was lovelllyyy. Prawn toast slightly over oily, but i suppose they were fried, so bot much to do about that. Best Chinese I've had in a long while just a tad too sweet and my dad is diabetic so he couldn't eat a lot because of how sweet and sugary they were - possibly add an option to reduce sugar or something? Also, bear in mind the photos are from the day after as we ordered plenty and had leftovers.”

  “Extremely disappointed. The portion is ridiculously small for £5.60. In other Chinese shops around this area the portion is generous(at least 3 times bigger portion)for £1 or £1.50 extra and they even come with complementary chips or rice. Will never return to China Chef.”
