Customer Review Summary

Sandwiches are the draw at Slips Deli, with reviewers repeatedly calling them huge and delicious. The foot long meatball sub, the Cajun chicken baguette in the biggest size, and the ultimate sandwich, described as absolutely massive, come up by name, and one reviewer praises the granary bread. Close behind are the staff, described as friendly, lovely and lively, and the owner's hospitality. Others single out the taco wrap, the jacket potatoes and the chocolate brownies, and several mention strong vegan choices. One reviewer felt a sandwich could have held a few more fillings. The one critical review describes a veggie rashers and egg sub that arrived on a barm with Quorn rashers, no sauces despite order notes, and orange juice from concentrate rather than fresh. The same reviewer found a tuna crunch focaccia came heated and went soggy. A returning customer notes the place has not changed in ten years.

“First time ordering from here and I'm not sure if I'll return. I ordered a Veggie Rashers & Egg Sub and it came on a barm. Also, the veggie rashers were the awful Quorn ones, please change brand to This Isn't Bacon or something better, it's 2026. The hash browns needed to be crispier and more well done. They also didn't read my order notes so I had no sauces for my barm and the fresh orange wasn't fresh at all its from concentrate which is the furthest from fresh you could get. I also ordered a Tuna Crunch Focaccia for my lunch and nowhere does it say this comes heated. Now it's going soggy because I'm not ready to eat it yet. Overall, there's a lot of false advertising going on here which isn't great - no sub, no sauces and no fresh juice. Unsure why it's got such great reviews when my food was bang on average. I'm just glad they had a discount on or it wouldn't have been worth it.”

“It's always an absolute treat coming here. I got the Cajun chicken in a baguette to take away. It was so delicious I regretted not getting two! And I got the biggest size. Incredible”
