We cut our own chips fresh every day from potatoes sourced from local farmers and use fresh haddock which is delivered 3 times a week to ensure high quality. “Ordered a beef burger meal for takeaway and walked back to our Airbnb, only to discover my “burger” was just a bun with one slice of cheese, lettuce, and ketchup. There was no burger patty at all. By the time we realized, it wasn’t worth walking all the way back. Mistakes happen, but this should have been caught before the order left the kitchen. Really disappointed. Edit to reply to the response to my review: I can assure you this is not a fake review, nor is it the wrong business. We ordered from Hilton Chip Shop and walked the food back to our Airbnb. The “two men” you mentioned were my husband and our friend, as the order was for four people. When we opened the cheeseburger, it contained only the bun, cheese, lettuce, and ketchup.. there was no beef patty. We have no reason to fabricate something like that. I understand you have procedures in place to prevent mistakes, but procedures don’t guarantee mistakes never happen. I’m disappointed that your response was to suggest I was lying or had reviewed the wrong business rather than considering that an error may have occurred. I simply shared the experience we had.”
