Customer Review Summary
Masala dosa is the dish reviewers return to most, described as light and crispy and served with sambar and chutneys they call delicious. Close behind are the garlic parotta, the beef curry, called tender and slow-cooked, and the chicken mappas, with the mango lassi also singled out. Fish, aubergine and prawn curries and the veg biryani earn praise too, and diners familiar with South India say the cooking tastes authentic to Kerala. Service is repeatedly called friendly and warm. The main trade-off is space: several describe the room as packed and the seating as tight, and one notes it is difficult with mobility challenges. One suggests booking ahead, while another felt reservations were not honoured and one mentions lining up at peak times. One diner found the biryani and curries short on spice and the service weak, though the owner made up for it. A broccoli and shredded coconut starter struck another as quite spicy. One visitor went twice during a short stay for the masala dosa and veg biryani.

“Its one of the best restaurants in inverness and the mango lassi, I bet you wont forget that taste! The Chicken Mappas with garlic parotta reminds you of kerala right from the first bite! This is one of the must try in Inverness”

“We loved the food here at this hole-in-the-wall, no frills, family run South Indian style eatery. After reading excellent reviews, we wanted to try it for dinner during our night stay in town. We ordered popular dishes Masala Dosa, Porota, beef curry, and also the Lamb Biriyani for the kid. We live in Houston (Texas) with great South Indian food options and we have visited South India many times. Given that, we felt all the food were finger licking good here. Don’t expect fancy decor-seating or fine dining service but do expect to line up for 15-20 minutes at peak times as this place seemed quite popular.”

You can really tell they put care into the quality of their food. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Their service made us feel comfortable from the moment we walked in until we left. If you’re in Inverness and looking for authentic, delicious food with excellent customer service, I highly recommend Love Dosa. We’ll definitely be coming back. “Had to wait for my party but the food and service were top notch. The service was warm, friendly and felt homely. The food was excellent and everyone enjoyed it. Definitely recommend this little gem. The only area for improvement is seating space. It can get crammed quite easily.”

“Full, full, full... the restaurant is packed full and you leave quite full. Reservation seems not taken into account, more a first come first serve system. Too bad service was a bit bad, but thankfully the owner is making up for things. The food, it was OK, not really what I am used to. I expected a little more spices on the biryani. The curries were OK, but lacked spices. My favourite of the evening was the aubergines.”
